Excellent brisket! Not too saucy, with melt in your mouth flavor.

Great people, great service, and enjoyed eating on the wide open back patio.

Strongly recommend.

Need to pay more attention to the meats being served. I don't want to pay for lots of fat!

Too salty, bland smoke flavor, overpriced for what it is. My partner got food poisoning from these guys. Must have been mishandled because it was definitely cooked and rubbery lol Drive 15 mins down the road to beer daddy BBQ . They are much much better!

Its a little confusing where to go when you park if it's not busy. The portions for the meat were great, but my brisket and ribs weren't very flavorful. I still think the $25 combo for 1 is awesome, even though my corn bread was missing.

Decent food. Portions were very tiny for the price especially if you compare to Beer Daddy BBQ in nearby Hampton. Paid $56 with tip for two sandwiches, two sides with two cans of beer. Turkey was good albeit a little dry and brisket was decent. Feta and watermelon salad side and the beans while very good, were very small. The young servers and cooks were super friendly. Lots of seating available.

The staff were friendly and the meat fell off the bone. No gluten free breads so adding gf bread would bring them up to a 5.

Food was decent, portions are tiny, could use more flavour.

Nice little BBQ spot with outdoor seating and parking. Everything is given 'to go' so it's very easy to take your leftovers back with you.
Choose your meats by the half or full pound. All meat (except the burnt ends) came with a small BBQ sauce of your choice.
I suggest 1/2lb of one meat per person (that's about 4 slices of brisket or 2 ladles of pulled pork or 4-5 ribs) - 1/2lb is a lot for most people so you'll most likely have nice leftovers.
Skip the bland pulled pork, go straight for the good stuff:
- moist and fatty brisket
- perfectly cooked ribs (peel off the bone)
- juicy, salty and smoky turkey
- amazingly tender and perfectly seasoned (not too sweet) burnt ends (very worth it).
The reviews about the mac n cheese hold true: it's very bland and doesn't taste smokey at all. I would recommend not taking it, nor the cornbread which was very similar to a quart pound cake (with sugar glaze) so it's more like a very sweet and dense cake instead of a southern light cornbread.
I don't know if this was because we came at opening time, but all our food came cold, which was very disappointing.
I would still come again for the good stuff mentioned above.

The smoke taste and tenderness of our brisket and turkey sandwiches was unbelievably delicious! The sides of beans and watermelon, mint salad were so good! $38.00 for our meals. GREAT!
We felt the outside eating space could use some TLC (even umbrellas for shade) from the hot weather. Overall, a very nice experience. Thank you!

This is not only some of the best food in Quispamsis / Saint John, but this is the best smoked BBQ I have ever had!

The meat will have you seeing the universe.
The service is absolutely incredible.

Probably the best food in the Saint John area - I would put Smoking Pig BBQ in the top 5 BBQ places I've ever eaten, it is fantastic. Brisket is the way to go, all the other options are great too, but if I'm going for BBQ, I'm going for brisket. Corn bread here is great, watermelon/feta/mint salad is great, smoked mac & cheese is great.

If I have any criticisms here it would be the following:

-they refuse cash payment
-the beer selection here is awful, I'm good with Moosehead, but the craft options are all...not great. Would be really nice to see at least one stout or porter, or a good sour option, things that would compliment the food. Not having a beer selection that compliments BBQ is a major bummer. I get that they're probably not running through too many beers, but there's a lot of porters, stouts, and sours that age very nicely if they sit for a few years...so...at least having it as an option would be great. I'm sure the craft beers they do carry don't move very well either, lots of hop drop going on in some of those cans.
