First time here. Miserable man was making coffee and spoiled the experience. We won't return. He couldn't say hello or acknowledge us. No please or thank you. Does he know how to smile? What sort of business hires someone like this front of house? The other servers were lovely. Send the miserable one out back to wash dishes. Such a shame that one bad employee be allowed to damage a businesses reputation.

Homey atmosphere and pleasant staff. Clean bathrooms. An oasis in Sackville. Cranewood has earned our happy visit on every trip Ottawa/Antigonish. ❤️
Just had coffee and some sweet here. Usually servers are very good, kind with very professional aptitude. But today ay 11:45 ish we encountered a mele server who is extreme rude with unprofessionals behaviour. He is not suit for working this cafe. I understand that you are hiring people now but please choose appropriate workers. It was highly disappointing experience. If he wants to chat with friends by ignoring clients, he shouldn’t work and have a coffee with your friends instead !!!!!!

I love this place! The atmosphere, the food, the service are all good. I come off the highway while travelling to have lunch here. I am a vegetarian and have great options. Prices are good and food is fabulous. Highly recommend.
We take time stop in here every trip to Halifax. It marks the halfway point for us and has great coffee, freshly made sandwiches and amazing baked goods topped off by a great environment.

I was so glad to find something vegan at breakfast. Sackville has almost nothing anywhere for breakfast, far less vegan. Cranewood is in a beautiful old building with hardwood floors and artwork. I had a lunch item (lentil stew) for breakfast and bought some bread to take home

Beautiful location. So many places to sit and eat including outdoors. Lovely sandwich options as well as bakery items. Enjoyed the hummus and veggie sandwich and got a fresh homemade bread to take home as well.
