ORIGINAL REVIEW: Best pizza in town, hands down. The Detroit crust is mindblowing & though a bit more expensive than your Dominoes or Papa John's, the quality and heft are worth every tiny penny! Decadent stuff...
The Tavern pizzas (traditional hand-rolled crusts) are more economical, but also fantastic. It's a great thing they provide both crusts, as they're different beasts, with different price points, but sharing the same level of quality...
If I could say anything to the contrary, it might be that the club music kinda sucks - Dust in the Wind with beats for the dancefloor? Seemed at odds with the menu & if I could read the other guests, probably not their thing either!
And one other wee suggestion: the pizza is SO darn incredible that when you get to piece #5 out of 8, sometimes (because it's served on a sheet pan with butcher paper), the crust loses its beautiful crispness & gets the sog a bit...wondering if even cornmeal might help to lift it a bit, or little low cooling racks, so the crust doesn't steam directly against the pan? This seems more prevalent on the Detroit crusts I've had, probably because of the simple heft of delectability the crust must hold!
Either way, though - I'd come for this pizza if they were outside in a rainstorm playing bagpipes! Killer stuff👍

We had pasta and pizza here. Detroit style pizza was ok. But pasta was awful to put politely. Store bought pasta pre boiled a day before and mediocre sauce. They try to hide it under over sized and unsightly micro green which didn't work. If you go there stick to pizza.

Chef Alex's skill and artistry are truly remarkable, making the evening both delicious and entertaining. We were also incredibly impressed by our server, Emma, who was friendly, attentive, and provided outstanding customer service. Her wine pairing recommendations and upselling techniques were excellent, speaking from my own experience as a former General Manager in the hotel and restaurant industry worldwide...

EAT HERE!! If you want the best pizza in Saint John then Beer Bread NEEDS to be your next choice for that fun or special night out! Where do I start here... the picturesque location across from the Saint John port, historic architecture, and that central city vibe sets the scene for what will be a dining experience like no other in Saint John. We had the scallops and the lobster pizza, and both were definitely the best in the city and arguably that we've ever had! The buttery scallops cooked to perfection, and the pizza with so many things going for it, no flop undercarriage with a nice crisp, a tangy sauce, and a perfect amount of fresh quality toppings. One bite into this meal and I knew I'd be posting a review here to spread the word about Beer Bread! Did I mention the service? This restaurant knows how to treat it's customers, we will ABSOLUTELY be back, over and over!

I highly recommend this restaurant. We went there for lunch and the food was amazing. The staff was really friendly and attentive. And we had the privilege of meeting the chef, who is very friendly and personable. Great experience overall!

Had dinner here last night with my family. Vast selection of locally sourced drinks and food items that were carefully prepared. Detroit style pizza is the real deal, salmon and orzo pasta was fresh and tasty. Generous food portions. Friendly and accommodating service, the owner was available to chat afterward.
