Just a few days ago, I found myself celebrating a birthday at an absolute gem of a place! A friend recommended this spot, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. With its reputation as both a pub and a steakhouse, I was excited to dive into what they had to offer—and wow, I was blown away!

From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the top-notch drinks and food. The seasoning? Out of this world! I highly recommend starting with the tuna—it’s served in a delightful pub-style and packed with a spicy, delicious sauce that will leave you craving more.

Now, let's talk about the main course! Seriously, I couldn't believe how incredible everything was. I devoured every bit of my 38-course meal (yes, you read that right!). The shrimp were succulent, and the steak? Cooked to perfection, just the way I like it. My husband opted for the mac and cheese as an extra side, and I’m so glad he shared it with me—what a treat!

If you’re a fan of amazing food, this place needs to be your next destination. Trust me, you won’t regret it!

Best steak I've had in a long time. Quick, thorough service. Would definitely recommend this place.

Nice restaurant uptown Saint John. It has limited open days/hours and was busy, so I recommend booking a reservation, which you can do online.
Service was good and our meal came out with a minimal wait.
My steak and pasta was good. The steak was cooked as ordered and very tender. The pasta could have used a bit more cheese or something to elevate it a bit more, but was still better than many pasta dishes I've had at other restaurants.
The other guest ordered fish and chips. When the plate comes out the meal looks massive, but the fish is 90% batter with very little actual meat- most of the batter was taken off and left on the plate. It's not a dish either of us would order again just because we prefer a lighter battered fish.

Very disappointing ,we had ribeye steak which was burnt and taste like propane . The baked potatoe was so overdone you could not eat it.They brought out another and it was just as bad.
We will never go back.

My friend got the steak and baked potato and loved it also.
We came on Halloween night and it wasn't too busy , we got service right away and it was fantastic. We will definitely be back and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good steak meal . ?

Large selection of dishes and good beer.
We ordered 2 x beef ribs, mine had a high fat content. Unfortunately the bottom part of the second dish was cold.
The staff was very attentive and friendly.

A Disappointing Visit to Churchill Pub and Steakhouse

I recently visited Churchill Pub and Steakhouse in Saint John, Canada, drawn in by its glowing Google reviews. However, my experience was far from the reality those reviews painted. My friends and I were looking forward to a relaxed evening, hoping to enjoy some drinks and food. Unfortunately, from the moment we walked in, the experience was a letdown.

The service was shockingly poor. When I asked the bartender about the types of beer available, her curt response was, “Just look at what we have,” as she pointed dismissively to the counter. Then, when we tried to order food, she threw the menus at us, and half of the items we asked for were unavailable. Her attitude only got worse—at one point, she told us, “I’m not Google. Use the internet,” when we inquired about something on the menu.

While I understand that Canadians aren’t always known for over-the-top hospitality, this level of rudeness was unbelievable. It felt like the bartender had won a prize for the most unwelcoming, unprofessional service imaginable.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. If you’re looking for a pleasant spot to eat or drink in Saint John, do yourself a favor and find somewhere else. This experience was certainly not worth the visit
