What a great little gem! We were passing through St John, and stopped to have dinner here. Turned out to be one of the BEST meals we have had in a long time. For me, it was the pan seared salmon with creamed cabbage and potatoes… wow! The mix of flavours was nothing short of artistic. My husband had a salmon salad and oysters he liked so much he asked for seconds. And the service was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend.

Amazing food! We’re here in town for a day to see the reversing falls. You need to come here for a meal!! Duck confit and smoked salmon salad, a plate of seared bay of funday seared scallops were our meal. Plus toffee dessert was to die for!

This restaurant exceeded our expectations! This dinner did not turn out to be just another meal, it was a culinary experience. Our waitress was also an absolute delight. I believe her name was Crystal. In all my travels, This food was among the best I’ve ver had. Every component of every dish was perfectly and thoroughly thought through. Every item was fresh, flavorful and beautiful. The attention to fine detail was very impressive. My group HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. 5 star review is not high enough, it deserves a Michelin!

The service was outstanding: warm, attentive, and professional without ever feeling overbearing. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared with high-quality ingredients. An all-around exceptional experience.

Absolutely fantastic experience in every way. The ambience was just right from the moment I walked in - warm and inviting without being pretentious in any way. Everyone was very kind and hospitable throughout the meal. I ordered a half dozen New Brunswick “Acadia Pearl” oysters to start and along with the mignonette, they were some of the best bursts of briny goodness I’ve had in a while. Main course was the beautifully plated salmon - it was cooked perfectly and even the accompanying veggies were great (especially with the buttery sauce). My server was super professional, delightful, and like so many other locals, made a very nice impression on me. For a perfect night in Saint John, I recommend dinner at ECB followed by a stroll along the waterfront a block away. I will be back as soon as I can!

We had the best dinner here! I had Oysters and the duck and my husband had the carrot soup and rack of lamb special. Both were wonderful. Oysters were so fresh, cold and delicious! Served on a bed of cold rocks, beautiful touch. We had the trio of sorbet for desert. Absolutely wonderful meal! We look forward to returning for another meal.

First time eating at East Coast Bistro and we will definitely be back. The atmosphere was charming and the salmon was perfect! I mean perfect! From the potatoes to the peas and the beurre blanc, the flavours worked wonderfully together and I enjoyed every bite. It’s no wonder they have been in business for 12 years!
