My friends and I started going to Italian by Night in 2019. At first, I fell completely in love with the food and honestly didn't want to try anywhere else for our dinners out. I've enjoyed it so much for so many years that I thought it was about time I finally wrote something to say so. Now I'm at the point where it feels like coming home. A couple of weeks ago, we went somewhere different, and as I walked past IbN and saw the familiar faces through the windows, I actually felt a little tug of longing. The atmosphere is always warm, and you're made to feel genuinely welcome. The service is impeccable and consistently friendly. Angie, Alex, and everyone else contribute so much to that feeling. And yes — ninety-nine percent of the time, I order the same thing. That should tell you something about the Chicken Parmesan. Every single time I take the first bite, I turn to my friends and say, “This is heavenly — it never disappoints.” And the tiramisu is like a little cloud of goodness. PS: @michelle — we haven't forgotten the lobster bisque 😊

Outstanding food and service from Alex. Had burrata and osso bucco and enjoyed every mouthful. As well as really enjoying the Maple Bourbon Sour cocktail, strong reccomend for a cold night. It's was wonderfully quiet, no loud music, just the light hum of people, flames and cutlery, which is a sound I enjoy.

Directed to our table immediately. Comfortable table and chairs. Owen our server was very friendly, professional and affable. Good wine selection. Had Arancini balls which were great yet only 2. Carbonara with scallops was good, scallops were well cooked. Could use something though as it is very rich and creamy. The lemon pasta was very good with lots of perfectly cooked shrimp. The asparagus in the dish wasn't great, maybe because it isn't in season. Creme brulee was on the sweet side bur very good. The sorbet flight was very good and playful. Spanish coffee was good. SJ is lucky to have a restaurant of this calibre uptown. Will return.

Awesome waiter!!! I tipped heavily. Awesome food!!! One thing... Not a huge deal, but I'm Italian. Cheese should not be offered on lamb or seafood. It's an Italian thing, but I understand we're not in Italy and the clientele don't know better. Otherwise this is the best Italian place in the Maritimes. I love this place.

We booked an early reservation before a show at the Imperial Theatre and had such a lovely experience. It's a perfect spot for a quiet date, relaxed, intimate, and consistently welcoming. The food was fantastic from start to finish. We especially loved the Burrata, the Risotto & Gamberetti, and the chocolate torte was the perfect way to end the meal. The apps, mains, and dessert were all delicious, as always. Truly one of our favourite spots!

We celebrated our anniversary here and had a wonderful experience. We were seated at a cozy corner table with a lovely view. Our server was attentive without being intrusive and explained the menus so well that we chose the specials—each dish was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was warm and full of conversation, yet still comfortable for an intimate evening. A perfect night out.
