We found Marcie’s by accident, looking for a public washroom, haha, but had lunch there and it was terrific! We each had a salad that was outstanding, and the staff were also great. So. There you have it 😄

Unfortunately I have to give this salad place a low rating. Here’s why…
While the salads we had tasted delicious, we paid $16 for them plus an extra $3.99 for shredded chicken (many of the salads do not come with protein).
At that price we expected to get a serving of chicken. But it wound up being maybe a tablespoon of tiny little bits of chicken.
As my nephew and I walked back to our car I noticed I was still very hungry and asked if he was and he said he was starving. It was incredibly disappointing to pay $40 plus tax for dinner and have to go home and immediately cook an entire meal to feel satiated. Those salads felt like an appetizer. I won’t be back and couldn’t help but feel ripped off after that experience.

Marci’s was amazing. Had 3 delicious salads. The staff was so lovely. The young woman who served us was so kind and even took the time to write out things for us to do in Halifax. I highly recommend stopping in if you’re in St. John.

Marci’s is a hidden gem tucked away on Grannan St. Step inside to be surprised by the unique atmosphere. Great for dining solo or with a friend. The menu offers delicious and well-balanced nutritious choices. I can’t wait to return. Yum yum to the Peanut Crunch Dish 🙌🏼
Vegetarian options: The broad selection of dishes were balanced with complex carbohydrates, raw vegetables, healthy oils and non-animal high protein options such as nuts and deliciously flavoured tofu.

The staff is fantastic! The salad was heavenly. This was my first visit and I can find no fault at all. They made me feel like I was the most important customer while waiting on me. Quality of the ingredients is perfection. Everything fresh and crisp. Presentation is gorgeous. I should have taken a photo.
