We stayed at the Delta Hotel St.John so we ate breakfast there almost everyday. We had the buffet twice but the second time was purely out of convenience, I highly recommend ordering from the menu its always hot and fresh and the chef cooks a damn good egg any way you want. Everything at the buffet unfortunately gets water logged and soggy from sitting in the warmers. (not good)
The highlight though was dinner, if you are looking for delicious seafood, seafood chowder, scallops or a good variety in a menu including dessert choices this is the place to go. The food was cooked so well, and tasted amazing. We had the seafood harvest platter (shared) the chowder, sweet potato fries and dessert. It was so good (the cod was outstanding) Best bang for our money all week. I think this place may be under radar or under rated because of the restaraunts near the harbour....it is still very close... if you want amazing food go to The Mix...

Dropped by on a Friday night, about two hours before closing, & surprisingly, we were the only ones there. The atmosphere was very quiet — almost too quiet for a weekend night, but it made the experience feel private and relaxed.
Service was quick and attentive. I ordered apple juice initially, but it was overly sweet — too syrupy for my taste so I had to swap it for something else. Thankfully, the staff handled it smoothly.
The food was the highlight. We had fish and chips, and jerk chicken with vegetables and rice; both were delicious. Portions were solid.
The bathroom was neat and well-maintained — always a plus in this city.
Overall, it was a good night out. Great food and quick service. With better drink options and a bit more energy in the atmosphere, this place could easily be a five-star spot.

Portions are generous, and the waitress was great, but the quality of the food was uneven. We had a Caesar salad that was enormous and quite delicious, but the pizza was only half cooked. In fact, the crust was uneatable.

Mix is attached to the Delta hotel (sort of) in saint John. The service is always slow and it is never very busy.
The food is not good! It’s basic and made with cheap ingredients. The nachos, poutine and quesadilla are bad, there’s no other way to describe it. They used to have a chicken parm sandwich that was good but they took it off the menu.
Overall, the Mix is terrible!

Get Julie ! She goes above and beyond beautiful quiet restaurant great food
Wonderful experience. Steak was absolutely delicious! Julie is a gem. Piano entertainment this evening with extended happy hour! Enjoyed.
I went with a friend of mine during taco week. The food was delicious. I had the Duck Tacos (special that week). My friend has alot of food allergies and sensitivity and the waitress (I believe Julie) was absolutely incredible. Great patience and advice. She was sweet with great attention to her food restrictions. Check on us to make sure everything met our needs. Beautiful atmosphere and a new menu that I want to discover. Also, breakfast buffet to be tried. Thank you!
My wife and I went to the mix on February 25th, 2025. I ordered the Braised Lamb Shank and it was unironically the single best meal I have had in over 20 years of living in Saint John. Absolute perfection 10/10. Service was good and food was quick as is always the case here, but man, get the lamb into yah it was amazing. Thank you!
Nancy is the best!!!!

Ordered the wings and pizza for take out, the wings were delicious but they forgot the ranch. I ordered the margarita pizza and I ended up getting a pizza with just regular cheese and the pizza wasn’t cut at all. So not the right kind of pizza, not fully cooked and completely not cut….

Margarita pizza was the worst pizza ever. Frozen crust a sauce was like a canned pasta sauce.

The Mix's wait staff / bar staff are incredible. Everyone was always friendly, polite and professional regardless of the time of day. However, the food was... FANTASTIC! Had a tasty ham and cheese omelette in the morning to start my day and a savoury burger with fries to close it. Didn't get a photo of the burger but here's one of the omelette. Don't miss out and hope you also checkout The Mix when you're in Saint John.
