The staff were friendly and the beer was cold, but the overall experience was a bit unusual. I was visiting St John with a small group and we were quiet looking for a pub to have a couple drinks. I heard a musician playing while we were walking past and was a bit surprised to hear live music on a weekday in the afternoon. I convinced my group to go in and we ordered a few and took a table in the otherwise empty room. After about 10 minutes, people suddenly started flooding into...
Cookie rocks. Great service, beer selection and atmosphere. Food is ordered at the bar from across the street. I had the Ruben sandwich and it was great. Great watering hole anytime. Thank you Cookie.
O'Leary's was amazing. We went on 2 different excursions from our cruise with this being one of the stops. Both times were so fun, great beer, friendly staff, and the owner was hilarious. If you ever make it to Saint John, NB, make sure you stop by O'Leary's for a great beer and a great time!
