My wife and I had very different experiences at Pomodori Pizza in Saint John. She absolutely loved her Margherita pizza—said it was the best pizza she’s ever had. She also thought the Harvest Salad (served on spinach instead of mixed greens) was wonderful.
Unfortunately, it didn’t work for me at all. A Margherita pizza with onions felt really out of place, the tomato sauce was too heavy, and I didn’t enjoy the crust. I ended up leaving to eat somewhere else.
That said, the ambiance was nice and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Clearly a hit-or-miss depending on your taste preferences.
Had a pizza and a gelato, from a recommendation of a local. They did pre warn me that food is amazing but service is terrible. It almost adds to the lore of the place with how bad the service is, I found it to be kind of part of the experience and a bit comical. You’re unlikely to get a smile, and you might need to remind them of drinks, but I wouldn’t call any of them rude, just uninterested. Pizza was very good, wish it had a bit more cheese/toppings but the crust was 10/10
Just loved the pizzas and gelato.

Service quality has been slowly decreasing, food is not as good as it was when I started going 2 years ago. Cheesecake gelato has been changed to vanilla with graham crackers on top like no one would notice…? Not going to an Italian pizza place to hear Indian music thx

Always delicious and consistent. You would think you’re eating straight out of the heart of Italy.
Vegetarian options: Lots of options. Salads are also amazing. One of my favorite go to’s in the city.

The pizza is good, but the staff are pretty rude overall, and they are always out of the non-dairy cheese.

After reading all the low star review complaints I completely agree… a cruise worker referred us to this pizza place and we were excited to try. The staff were lifeless and annoyed. The pizza was 54$ for two a bit much. The pizza itself was not very good. The tomatoe sauce was watery, an insane amount of mushrooms, undercooked middle, and flavorless. But the crust was good and crunchy cause it was oven baked. Overall, not the experience we were hoping for.
