An example of a great place with unfortunately awful food. I ordered the mixed Arabasta kebab. The kebab was like a piece of wood, like burnt meat. The chicken tasted bad. When the waitress brought it, I lost my appetite. I don't know how many times they cooked it or it was obviously not fresh.
The waitress was polite and when I told her the food was inedible she admitted that it was bad. she was polite and tried to help.
It was shocking that in St. John's, where many restaurants serve excellent food, there is a restaurant that is so ignorant about cooking and the presentation of the food that it literally garbage. We were very disappointed and would not recommend this restaurant - an example of amateurs taking advantage of the great view of the Reverse Falls. Tourists may be fooled, but I doubt the locals will return for another meal.

We have been a few times, and as a traveler I find it very disheartening that this company would charge people to go up on the skywalk when it's Cruise ship season when literally 3 weeks before that I was told because I ate a meal there We could go up for free.
I think if the people eat there at any time of the year should be allowed up. It's not like it's a cheap in there.

We visited for lunch. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was very good. Atmosphere was nice, clean, and great views of the water. Overall a great experience.

Reserved a table for a Birthday and got the best seat in the restaurant. The food was outstanding, the staff were delightful and the view brings the experience over the top. If you are a One Piece fan you will appreciate the small references in the menu. Each table had a character which made us giggle. The maple salmon with smoked rice was super yummy!

It seems you can go up on the viewing platform for free, if you eat there. Otherwise, a visit to the platform is $15.

I recently took my mom out for a special dinner at The Baratie, and we were both blown away by the entire experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive. Our server took excellent care of us friendly, professional, and always checking in at the right time.
We both ordered the Surf and Turf, and it was absolutely phenomenal. Perfectly cooked steak paired with fresh, flavorful seafood every bite was a treat. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they do.
The view from the restaurant added even more to the experience relaxing and beautiful, making the evening feel extra special. Between the incredible food, great service, and amazing atmosphere.

We’ll definitely be back soon !

An example of a great location with unfortunately lacklustre service, food and cocktails. Inexperienced and unprofessional staff. There was a line-up for tables with no one to receive us for several minutes until a man walked up from behind us and asked the group in front of us whether they needed a table. I had seen this guy chatting with a colleague in the gift shop behind us. He could clearly see people waiting for a table, yet kept us all waiting for minutes while he was chatting.

After we were seated and had barely a chance to look at the menus and drinks available, the man asked whether we were ready to order. We said we needed more time. No water was served.

We ordered margaritas, but the waitress wasn't sure they were available. She checked with the bartender and came back to our table to say they were available, so we confirmed our order. The margaritas, when they arrived, were clearly made with lime juice cordial and an unidentified alcohol with no hint of tequila. Not a drop of fresh lime juice. They were garnished with slices of lemon, not lime. Clearly, the bartender had no idea how to make margaritas.

My wife had ordered fish and chips. While the chips were OK, the fish looked and tasted like it was microwaved from a frozen breaded haddock fillet. The breading was soggy. The haddock did not taste fresh.

I had ordered a beef tenderloin steak, which came without a steak knife. I had to request a steak knife from the server. The steak tasted like it had been soaked in brine and pan-fried, not grilled. It was a bit leathery.

It was shocking to find that in Saint John, where many restaurants serve excellent fish and chips and steaks, there is this one that is so clueless about the most popular dishes. We were most disappointed and do not recommend this restaurant—an example of amateurs capitalising on a great view of the Reversing Falls. Tourists may fall for it, but I doubt that locals would come back for another meal.

We should have read the reviews before choosing this restaurant. We noted later that many others have had disappointing experiences similar to ours.

East coast guys

This was one of the best food experiences I’ve had in a long time. Some of the best service I’ve ever experienced. So professional, very happy to serve, and on top of it! Absolutely worth every dollar! We had the all you can eat, and it’s no joke, and the food was amazing!

Are you kidding me? Don't go by what the pictures look like. Service is no good, they barely have a pulse. I walked out not a good environment. If you're going to spend that much money on food, go to somewhere reputable. Don't go by the pictures.
