Food was okay, menu wasn’t that big wasn’t a lot to chose from, the gravy on the side poutine was extremely watery, the fish was definitely over battered .We waited for a while and it wasn’t very busy at all .If I had to chose this wouldn’t be my first pick if I had to go out and eat.(did not get any photos )

I have been going here since it opened. When I lived in SJ it was at least weekly….for years. When I travel to SJ it was always a must stop. Always pricey, but worth it. Sadly this has changed. The past few visits were not that great but brushed it off as staff having a bad day. It happens, plus I seldom share a bad experience. Today however, was a total let down. Went with wife 2 other couples. Ordered some apps. The taquitos were cold and had the consistency of rubber. The chicken wings were dry, and honestly not much better than gas station quality. The ‘loaded’ kettle chips had little toppings, and the little amount of chicken that was added was rock hard and inedible. We skipped main courses, paid and left. $100 for 3 apps that made Jungle Jims look like fine dining. Until there is a demonstrably improvement in quality I will not be returning, nor will I be recommending to others.Service was friendly. Very nice server.

Great atmosphere, food was overcooked, fish was cooked 2x too long....and pricey not good value. Won't return even though I did like the atmosphere.Renovations outside kill the view, but the view will be good once that is completed in 6+ months.

Sadly disappointed with the food and service tonight at the Ale House. These reviews are very misleading as I was expecting a top quality dinner. Ordered prime rib with red wine sauce and was extremely dissatisfied. The presentation was sloppy, the meat was fatty and the sauce was far from any red wine sauce I have ever tasted. It was Thursday night, not busy at all and we waited over 20 mins for drinks and then close to half an hour for our bills after we were finished eating. Even my kids grilled cheese tasted bad and the side of vegetables was burnt black. Overall terrible experience and will not be returning.

Went for wing night. Couldn't believe how tiny(with no meat) the wings were. Like...where did they even find these? Even at 0.60 I felt ripped off. The picture attached isn't even close to worst one. Some were literally the size of a toonie. Amazing.Server was nice, beer was good.

The food and drink selection is my favorite, the last 2 times I was in New Brunswick, I went there; can't forget the taste! Terry Hill you live in New Brunswick we should go there when I visit? The General Manager where I work I believe also loves it there! 5 Star rating in my opinion!

My husband and I had. Two apps and a Caesar salad. We were there early. Salad not fresh and apps tasted pre made … like a few days ago and not served hot (Bacon wrapped scallops and pork bites). Come on guys how hard can it be?? Do

Their fish and chips were absolutely massive and delicious. Soup of the day was a thicken chicken stew heavy on black pepper and was delicious. We ended up here on a Friday night and it was packed, so expect some wait. Beer flights were reasonably priced and had a ton of options.
