We had a fabulous experience here. Everything gluten and dairy free are marked on the menu. As someone who has to avoid gluten for medical reasons, I am always excited to discover a new-to-me restaurant. Our server was fantastic. He brought out gluten free pitas for us and asked when we ordered if we were celiac. The food was incredible. I'm disappointed that it isn't a chain because I am hardly ever in the area and would love to come back. The Egyptian-themed decor was great. What a nice spot!

Amazing!!!!! I ordered a chicken shawarma plate as that is my favourite food and was so impressed with the seasonings and texture of the chicken😁 not to mention the portions are GREAT, tired of companies not filling up food box all the way but they definitely loaded my plate up 😁 their coffee was also yummy , I will definitely order from here again, thankyou guys !

We absolutely adore Taste of Egypt! It's become our go-to spot ever since our daughter turned one (she’s now almost two)and every visit feels like a warm hug from family. The moment we walk in, we’re greeted with the most genuine smiles and hospitality. Our little one is always welcomed with her own colouring sheet, and the staff never fail to make her feel special.
As parents, the family-friendly touches mean the world; from the spotless family washroom with a changing table to the availability of high chairs and booth seating that gives us some privacy (and helps contain a wiggly toddler!).
Food-wise? Absolutely phenomenal. Our daughter LOVES the Arayes (we order it every time) and happily share as a family. The Chicken Shawarma Dinner Plate is our go-to, we never stray because it’s just that good. Greek potatoes? Perfectly seasoned. Greek salad? So fresh. Chicken? Tender and flavourful. Even our toddler gets in on the garlic mayo, it’s just that delicious.
While we have our go-to meal, we would also recommend the Pad Thai, Grape Leaves, Baba Ghanouj, Greek Burger and Shawarma Poutine!
What really sets Taste of Egypt apart is the people. The staff and owner are always friendly; striking up conversation but also keeping things quick and smooth when we’re trying to manage our toddler’s schedule and get home in time for bedtime routines! It’s clear they truly care about their guests, and that’s something you just can’t fake.

Wide variety of authentic Mediterranean food. Great atmosphere and music.
Went with a friend, meal portions are generous. Wait staff were incredible. Really comfortable & clean. Definitely recommend & will certainly make my way out there again.

The food is incredible!! So fresh and delicious, it’s expertly prepared. Our server took time to explain the menu and was happy to substitute my green salad for tabouli. Our semi-circle booth/table had a curtain that helped dampen the overall sound but, also made things feel more intimate. I’ve ordered take out twice since our visit last week and each time I’ve received a big portion that’s just as delicious as the dine in experience.

I liked the fun Egyptian theme and I like the rack of lamb even more. Staff were friendly and attentive. I will definitely go back the next time I'm in town
