I love this spot. If you're someone who is vegetarian or vegan and you have friends who aren't - you never have to worry that they won't enjoy eating here. EVERYTHING is delish, and you can tell that care and consideration goes into each dish. It's definitely a Saint John gem. Brunch, lunch, dinner - you can't go wrong! The atmosphere is inviting, the servers are great, the restaurant is clean, and in the Summer they have a great cozy outdoor space. Just go, and bring your family and friends.

This is the portion size for a $20 appetizer at Vegolution. No, I didn't eat any before snapping the picture. It's mushrooms and olives. That's it. They may be locally sourced or foraged mushrooms, but I counted 5 olives and less than 10 small mushrooms. This is the second time I've visited while in town on business. I had the same the first time when I paid over $20 for half a broccoli. The dishes tasted ok, but I can't justify the taste for feeling this ripped off. You certainly made your profit margins off of me for the last time. I can't understand where all the high reviews are coming from.

This place is wonderful! It has such a friendly vibe that welcomes you in and feel at ease. Our server was very attentive and even helped us with directions for our next destination. The food was delicious! We shared their signature appetizer, Sticky Korean Soy Bites, and loved it. My wife had fried brussels that were cooked to perfection. I thoroughly enjoyed the Veggie Donair…so amazing! A place that’s well worth visiting!

A friendly ,clean, non pretentious and tasty spot with a couple of wrinkles. My friend and I made a dinner reservation earlier in the day as we were just around the corner at the Market. This turned out to be a good idea, it was Friday evening and it was pretty full when we returned to claim our table. Our table was right by the front window, and the one issue was that it is an open kitchen concept and for some reason clean dishes were being very loudly stacked and sorted on the counter nearby. We were offered a table out back but the space was not very inspiring. More like dining in an alley rather than a back patio. We were glad not to be treated to TV screens or loud music inside (which has become all too common in restaurants. ) Apart from the loud dish sorting, we could hear each other without raising our voices. The menu is limited. There are some very substantial burgers, "donair", poutine and a few hearty salads. My friend, a lifelong vegetarian commented that she is not that excited about "meat like offerings" but would like to have seen more straight up grain or bean based dishes that did not have a meat counterpart. That said, we were both impressed with the freshness and flavour of our meal. We ordered a large salad bowl which featured a large variety of spiralized veggies, some toasted chickpeas, marinated green beans and a very creamy delicious avocado dressing. Adding some tofu was extra. I saw some very lovely loaves of fresh bread behind the bar and I was hoping we might get some with our meal but no. There were no added touches. No lemon water, bread, pickles or small nibble. I would have preferred that a dollar or so be added to our meal and had a bit of something extra. For dessert we sampled the beet spice cake which was a bit on the small size for the price, but very delicious. They had sold out of a couple of desserts such as the cashew based Crème Brule by the time we ordered so it might be wise to order something early if it catches your eye. Our server was very pleasant and knowledgeable. We did not feel rushed or pushed to leave the table for a second sitting. We looked at the Saturday Brunch options and considered it but the menu was not very appealing to us. It had a lot of full plates with heavier pseudo meat options when we would have enjoyed seeing lighter a la carte offerings such as oatmeal and fruit, protein smoothies, salads or veggie omelets. This is a spot for a healthy, fresh and pleasant meal. I would go again if I were in St John.

Santa Fe salad and the VEGful bowl were both excellent for our lunch. We followed up with deserts which were good too. We sat outside at the back in the shade on a sunny day

We had the vegan dinar with fresh fries and a veg-full bowl with a cilantro lime dressing. Both were well made and well flavored. The fiddleheads in the salad were amazing!

I google "best Poutine" in St. John's since we were cruising and made a stop there. I can honestly say that this was the best poutine I have ever had and it's not even close. We also had a mushroom appetizer dish that was incredibly delicious. We raved about this place the entire cruise.

We just wanted in to have a lunch. We had no idea how good they are. The staff were so professional and friendly. Thanks to Kelsey to be so nice host to us. The food is so nice, if you are not vegan, like me, don't worry you will be satisfied. I highly recommend their broseta and poutine. I hope I could visit Saint John again and taste their food

The mushroom toast was so tasty and featured locally foraged morelles, hen of the woods, oyster, and more! Also, enjoyed the fried brussel sprouts—yummy, crispy, and filling. Definitely recommend!

As someone who works on the road and is an avid foodie I must say when I visited VEGolution it made my heart and stomach full! I’ve been a vegetarian for about a year now which has not been easy, and this place knows how to accommodate. 1. Atmosphere When you first walk in to this #1 rated restaurant you are bombarded with smells that make your mouth water. On top of that the place just looks earthy and cool! It has got a bunch of live plants and beautiful wooden seats that add to the environment leaving you feel like you’re almost in nature. 2. Staff The whole kitchen staff is out in the open creating an even more open concept dining experience. They are super friendly and more then open to answer any of the questions you might have about the selection of food. The servers are well trained in helping you come up with a decision and are super knowledgeable. They even helped me pick out some cool local hikes in the area whilst I am staying in town. ABOVE AND BEYOND! 3. FOOD Oh, my goodness where do I even start… There is a 100% Reason why VEGolution is the number one rated restaurant in New Brunswick the food here is incredible! If you are a vegan this place is for you and even if you’re not a vegan/vegetarian THIS PLACE IS FOR YOU! I have spent the last two nights Dining here and I have not been disappointed. On the first night I got the Vegan tofu Curry which was fantastic with beautifully seared tofu and fresh vegetables with a bed of curry sauce… YUM! Second night I got their in-house homemade cheeseburger with their award-winning poutine. The burger is made from brown rice and mushroom and it must be one of the best veggie burgers I have ever eaten. The Poutine… Well, let us just say you must go there to try it out because there just aren’t any words to describe it… Located in the heart of Saint John’s, New Brunswick it is very easily at the top of list for must eats! Check it out for yourself!
