Turkish Big Bite Restaurant

I’ve been exploring the food scene in Saint John since moving here, and Turkish Big Bite is easily one of the most authentic and welcoming spots in the city.
The Food: > I highly recommend the Chicken Shawarma—the bread is incredibly fresh (they actually get it from the bakery next door!) and the pomegranate sauce adds a unique tang you don't find elsewhere. Their signature Smoked Rice is a game-changer; it has a deep, applewood aroma that pairs perfectly with the Mixed Kebab plate. We also tried the Baklava for dessert, which was crispy, honey-soaked, and clearly made with care.
The Experience: > The atmosphere is cozy with beautiful Turkish decor and comfortable seating. Even though I’m currently dealing with a shoulder injury and have my arm in a sling, the staff (shoutout to the very friendly chef and the waiter) was exceptionally patient and helpful, making sure we were comfortable and well-taken care of.
Verdict: > Generous portions, fair prices, and the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like a regular on your first visit. Whether you're looking for a quick wrap or a full sit-down dinner, this place is a 10/10. I’ll definitely be back once I'm fully healed!

Big Bite Shawarma offers one of the best shawarma experiences I’ve had in Canada. The food is incredibly flavorful, freshly prepared, and truly mouth-watering. The service is excellent, and the prices offer great value for money. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic, high-quality shawarma☺️

The food was absolutely delightful. The smoked rice stood out with its deep, aromatic flavors that were both distinctive and satisfying. Each bite carried a perfect balance of smokiness and seasoning. The fries were equally impressive—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned flawlessly with just the right amount of salt. Overall, the meal was thoughtfully prepared and thoroughly enjoyable.

Just for the kunafa! Tasted below average!

Love the food! It is always hot & fresh and tasty!
We would go here more BUT the service is not the best. They come once to take order and drinks but don't return to refill water or drinks, as well they don't check to see if there is something else you need/want and we end up being the ones to get up to pay as we wait for the bill longer than needed.

His shawarma reminds me of my hometown, Damascus; I used to travel 125 kilometers just to eat there.

I have tried the butter chicken, donair, and Shawarma. The butter chicken is my favorite but I love all three. Good size portions, fair price. Staff are all very friendly and welcoming. I can tell they all work really hard. During my recent visit when I bought a Baklava I noticed they gave me an extra which I also thought was really nice.

This place, as we just expressed to the owner last night, continues to impress with its food -over and over again. We do love variety, and enjoy the ethnic variety of food especially. Turkish Big Bite will never disappoint.

If you're in a hurry for a quick bite, then order ahead and swing by and pick it up, as they appear do a lot of that as well.

But I suggest, in taking your time. Allow them -to take their time. Good food should never be rushed. Sit with friends, enjoy their company, anticipate the authenticity and flavors that await.

And while you do await your main course, the creaminess and eastern tones of their humus will settle you in your seat like that first date, you never wanted to end.

If you're anything like us, you'll leave with a smile on your face, and wonder what you might try on your next visit.

Highly recommend Turkish Big Bite for anyone. Just don't be in a rush. Some things in life are worth waiting for.

If you're looking for Local Quality cooking or want to try something different, this is the spot!! Friendly, clean, comfortable atmosphere. Food is delicious. Judging by the number of take out orders others think it's delicious as well. Local Turkish dining.

The Dishes I had are a Chicken Shish Sub, Lamb on a Skewar, and Turkish Kunafa for dessert. Pics of my experience are attached.

Best of their kind in Saint john! Amazing shawarma plates and wraps, the baklava is 11/10 as well. I would highly recommend to anyone! The service is above and beyond.
