Waited over 3 hours for food that never came. Asked for money back and they would not give a refund. Very disorganized. Got scammed out of 80 bucks. Zero stars. Dont waste your time and money. Wont be back...
The ribs are slow cooked in a smoker and they are to die for - liked both the whiskey & apple bbq sauces. Poutine was so good - Quebec style poutine with fresh cut fries, cheese curds & gravy. The basket of 12 wings is another one of my favs. Service is always top notch & servers at the bar & food staff are very friendly. Stage is in the perfect spot and the music Is from all genres ✌🎶

What an adorable restaurant. Takes me back to being a kid. Food was delicious. I'll stop by if I'm in the area, again!

(Translated by Google) We went to La Causerie on Sunday April 2, 2023. At first, we didn't want to go there because we had seen a lot of negative comments. In reality, this sugar shack is really very very good. The food is very good and at will. The chalet is very pretty and typical. In addition, the atmosphere is very pleasant. In conclusion, this is definitely the best sugar shack we've done on our vacation in Canada.(Original)Nous nous sommes rendus à La Causerie le dimanche 2 avril 2023.
I was a bit disappointed.. The buffet was really good tough..but not enough employees to help the lady behind the counter .. For the sugar stick out back was not great at all .. plus the staff that was working there was not great with he's customer service.. but I guess with the sugar, they change the ways... u have to put ur big stick into a big pot and trying to bring it to the snow .. but no succes lol so people was doube deeping there stick ? so not reallyy clean !! Where the old fashion way with professional work and clean snow !! The rolling ur small stick for ur fresh syrup!! Thank owners to give me my money back for the stick.. Just to let u know ..we when with a group of 13 people to ur cabine ..So we where disappointed ?
We took the whole family on a rainy day. The dinning area is very rustic and clean. Yes the meal was a little pricey but what buffet isn't. The food is ol' fashion cooking. The pancakes eggs and tatters were perfectly cooked. I personally loved the beans as they were cooked and almost burned but some of us didn't enjoy them. The sausages were cooked in maple syrup and amazingly delicious. They also included water, coffee, orange juice and tea. The tea and coffee were ok but I still had to do a timmies run afterwards. The service was excellent and very friendly! There was a great amount of parking and the bathrooms were clean. They also offer sanitizing products if you need any.
So coming from Northern New Brunswick, I was so happy to find a sugar shack super close to our new home. All 6 of us head out for breakfast buffet, $103 later for extra peppery eggs, super thin pancakes, beans that were burnt and so spicy they were disgusting, ham slices and sausages sitting in water and homemade potatoes that were cold and still hard. So honestly there was nothing on the 6 item menu that was good. 23$ per adult and 17$ for children over 5. Service was horrible. One girl to pick up everything on the tables, collect the money refill the juice and condiments. I'll drive the 2 hours to head back up North to have a much better breakfast and much better service. A TOTAL MISS FOR SURE
