Aug29/24 - Wow! The Lobster Plate was pretty special. No wonder Shediac, NB is known as the “Lobster Capital of the World” - and just a few hundred yards up the road is the famous 99-ton giant lobster sculpture (it’s the town’s #1 selfie spot).
We ate in the ‘sunroom’ which was bright and welcoming - as were the staff who were so accommodating and friendly.

Parking: Lots of free parking on the side and the back of the building.

Cafeteria feel with plastic cutlery etc. Could be cuter with some imagination. Seafood chowder was good (thick and creamy with good amount of shrimp) but the deep fried scallop/shrimp was a lot of batter which had the taste of rancid oil. Large portion but not great flavour

The kitchen was good. We found our lobster delicious and in good quantity in the dishes we chose. The seafood chowder is good. On the other hand, the dishes are expensive for what we had (seafood chowder, lobster club, lobster roll, mussels and fried shrimp). It’s still a good place to have a bite to eat, they have a wide choice of dishes.

Great place for a lobster dinner. Fresh, hot, plenty of fries, salad and a roll, eith drawn butter and a beer. Friendly staff, efficient set up. Ohmm, nom, nom!

Food portions were enormous. Everything tastes good and hot. One thing I don't understand is paying at the time of ordering and being asked to leave a tip... A tip is a representation of how everything was, service, food, etc. Paying ahead makes no sense.

Visited here for lunch and tried to lobster poutine, lobster roll and a full 1.25lb lobster as they only have 1.25lb lobster available at the time. We placed our order at the front, and they brought our meal to us after we took a seat! The lobster poutine was delicious! The lobster roll was soft and amazing. The full lobster came with silverware and lobster cracker as well which made enjoying the meal easy.

It’s a take-out style. There is no table service, but there is plenty of seating and an outdoor terrace.
For the hot dog (children's menu) there were no condiments, and only ketchup on the tables. In the chicken bacon panini there was no sauce (not even mayo). Decent fish and chips but nothing more. Captain's plate correct but at times the breading was floury.
On the other hand, there are a lot of fries on the plate.

It took me awhile to pick a place to eat some good, fresh seafood in Shediac. Reading the reviews and looking at the pics. This place looked great and the reviews were fantastic.
Let me tell you. The haddock tasted and looked like a filet from captain hiliner. There was absolutely no taste. The clams did not taste right. I wouldn't even eat them because I was scared I would be sick. So the food was horrible...and I will eat mostly anything, so for me to complain says alot.
As well..the girl at the counter definitely was not enjoying her job at all lol. Not the most friendly!
