We went in as a group of 8.5 to have dinner at 4:15pm to be greeted with the hostess who had to go consult the bartender if they can take us in, only to be told they couldn’t receive us. There were only 6 cars parked outside with 5 tables taken up in the whole restaurant. One of us was wearing a hijab, so we are assuming they were racist 😒😒😒

We had various seafood options, including the lobster roll, which was just OK. Probably the highlight was the chowder. The place is clearly a local favourite as it was filling quickly. We were surprised there was not more marine or fishing decor or more fresh seafood options. After all, it is called the Fisherman!

Lobster roll was tasteless and from frozen. I expected better from a fish house in Shediac. Beer cold, coleslaw was fantastic, so not all bad.
Food was amazing. Our server was very cheerful and attentive to us. If you are ever in Shediac, this restaurant is a must to visit.

Another awesome experience today Sep, 1 2024. Erica, our host, is warm and friendly. She took care of us, especially with a special request for a grilled fish fillet. Amazing taste as always. Great ambiance, friendly staff especially Erica as she was our host with all the warm welcoming and care to our order.

I understand reviews affect the business, but as a fish and chip lover these were totally the worst I ever ever had ....they tasted ok but I was amazed at the child sized portions like a 2 pieace fish and chips were really a 1 size....and horror of horrors I do believe they were froma frozen pack of fish like Costco or superstore . First time in Shediac I was expecting epic east coast fish and chips wow scale of 1 to 10 a 1

My husband made reservations at The Fisherman's for our 26th wedding anniversary. It was a Thursday, and I was really looking forward to it. We drove over 30 minutes from Riverview to Shediac, expecting to have a lovely, delicious seafood dinner date. We arrived a few minutes early and were seated at a strange table sort of behind a beam, in the center of the restaurant. There was a large room about 10 feet away filled with a few hundred people with loud microphones and live music. The door was wide open. We couldn't hear ourselves think, let alone hear each other talk. But we had been waiting all week, and just hoped that our food would make the overwhelming atmosphere worth it. We waited and waited, 25 plus minutes without being acknowledged. After seeing 6 other parties arrive, get seated, and served drinks (3 right next to us), we realized that we had been forgotten. We tried a few attempts to make eye contact with a server to no avail. After 30 plus minutes of wincing through the noise in hopes of being noticed, let alone served, it was obviously time to leave. We are very, very disappointed. Upon exit, the staff appeared confused… not sure why, they just looked shocked so not sure what happened. Highly disappointed. If you are looking for a nice, quiet dinner date, with great service, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. PS, I hear their food is great, but didn't have a chance to find out.
