We had the best seafood in a long time! I had lobster roll and fresh fries and gravy! Was amazing! Good size portion and well priced! My sister had fish and chips and it was amazing! Fresh and light batter, fries golden to perfection! We ordered pieces of lemon meringue pie to go! Also delicious! Highly recommend! Service was quick and friendly! Thanks!

A bit slow as it was a busy night when I was there, but worth the wait. The lobster roll was delicious and really hit the spot

The food here is of course mostly fried food fair but it's sure done to perfection. The fish and chips I had was lightly battered, and was yummy. The serving are large and that's not a complain at today's prices. It's just something to keep in mind when ordering. Of course they well box any leftovers for you. The pies are yummy. The service was done with a smile and done well. After all the staff here are quite busy during tourist season which is when I was there. A+.

Great place for fish n chips not far from Deer island ferry. We ordered the 2 item meal to split between wife & I. Lightly breaded all items served piping hot. No idea how 1 person could eat a two piece. One 26cad plenty of food for 2. We Ordered haddock (2 filets) and scallops. Fresh & deliciously prepared. Shared bread pudding which was amazing. A butter scotch sauce & whipped cream.

Sshh, don't tell anyone about this place. It is a gem of a restaurant with great food, friendly staff and an excellent ice cream take out window. Very laid back comfortable atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Seems to be a favorite place for local bikers, CMA members would appreciate stopping here.

What happened to the Birch Grove Restaurant? $70.00 for a large seafood platter? Seriously? We're not in Toronto, or some far away place no where near seafood! We are the best of seafood in this country and its local! Plus you're in a rural area used by locals and loyal customers and you up your prices like that? To boot, you were sold out of clams. Had the seafood combo...nothing like it was! Half the amount and the seafood combo is now the price, the seafood platter used to be! Get real! Great food and service, but crazy prices and smaller portions. 3-5 for the crazy high price of seafood there and smaller portions.

Went for a farewell lunch. We were saying goodbye to a Japanese student who had her first lobster roll at the Birches. Lovely toasted roll, good portion of lobster with no weird ingredients (dill, lemon zest, chopped celery, etc.). A plain, simple, perfect lobster roll!! Nice fries, decent coleslaw.
The service here is always wonderful. Too full to have pie... Their pies are wonderful. Next visit, we'll get the pie to go if we're having a meal.
