I bought my daughter’s wedding cake there. It was just what she was looking for. They iced it like a photo she found. Not only beautiful cake but taste so good. Ordered the vanilla cream.

My friend ordered my cake from here. Sent a pic of a TWO LAYER black and red cake with fondant not icing. There were no roses on the original cake... You instead completely ignored the order and made what YOU wanted. A one layer WHITE cake with black and red and with icing and roses. This was supposed to be for my 50th birthday party today and the only reason she agreed to take this WRONG order is because it's the day of and you gave her half off for your screw up. I believe you told her Jesus don't work here and folks make mistakes..... this wasn't a mistake, it was a customer's order being ignored for something ugly and required the minimal amount of work. I hope you don't do this to other customers. This cake is awful and didn't match the theme of this birthday party. Completely disappointed

Best bakery ever! I'm a regular customer, and I think I've had every one of the regular cakes that Shawn sells multiple times over. You won't be disappointed by any of them. Reasonable prices, great service, and did I mention that the cakes and cookies are simply outstanding? The only downside here is that the Sweet Shop is an hour drive from my house in Mint Hill, but it's still worth the time and effort to visit Albemarle every month to buy a cake here! And don't forget to pick up a loaf of pull-a-part bread. You won't be disappointed!

No matter how many locals ask they won't do gluten free or even gluten free friendly which means theres could be aome cross contamination for thise less sensitive. They don't even respond to messages about it they just ignore you.

Delightful local bakery with a modern, clean feel - I was instantly greeted, and told that it wasn't busy enough to take a number. I asked about the birthday cake flavors and sizes, and instantly picked the exact cake for my Father-in-law's 92nd birthday 🎂 He loved it, and nearly ate the whole thing in one sitting! Great folks - artists, really. The price was fair, and after enjoying the cake, better than what we paid. We absolutely will be back!!

Parking: I recommend you go off-peak - you will absolutely find what you need that way.

Kid-friendliness: Display cases at eye level for kids!

I've been getting clown cookies here since I was a child! I lived in TN at the time and we'd "smuggle" clown cookies across state borders. All my friends were jealous.
