We held our rehearsal dinner here and it was wonderful! Melissa went above and beyond to help us make the event very special. The food was delicious and we had the best time.

Melissa has such a fantastic gift to bring this local classic into the present. I love the fact we can pay w a card now (if you’re from Albemarle, you know several places that still, in 2024, don’t ā€œtake plasticā€ lol). The food quality is fantastic, consistent, and very tasty. Nothing bland here. I just hate that I can’t refuse to get a slice of pie every time.

Best Reuben sandwich in town (and others are great— Reuben is just my fav). Such a local gem— from the delicate China the meals are served on to the many varieties of pie. Wes and Melissa have done such a great job.

Cute little small town restaurant with great food and very fair pricing. Friendly wait staff

Vegetarian options: Vegetable lasagna

Parking: Plenty of parking in the gravel lot to be side and back. Street parking as well out front

Kid-friendliness: Large open room in the main dining area, which can get loud. Kids would just blend in.

Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap accessible parking. Wide doorway but does have a "lip" for the door which might be slightly difficult.

We had lunch here and totally impressed with this restaurant. Opens at 11am and fills up fast. There is a large parking lot to the side and a turn around down the street . Inside the old tin ceiling is amazing worth a visit in itself but the food is very good in itself . The mustard potato salad was one of the stars with a Ruben sandwich excellent meal . The corn beef which the restaurant can't control could been seasoned more or left in the brine a couple days longer. What I really loved the 1000 island dressing was on the side and very tasty .. waitress was very good and knew the history of the restaurant which was very interesting to us . We had a very good time for lunch
