Went for the 1st time with my mother for lunch and I must say that they did not disappoint. The service was great as well as the food. I will most definitely be going back. I did not get a chance to try the highly recommended pie ? but I will the next time I stop to eat lunch.

A local treasure. Gail created a wonderful place then sold to a perfect buyer. Rainy day comfort food. Got lucky. Had day off so I could enjoy lunch with wife. Pies are the best.

We had been meaning to lunch here for over a year, and finally did - it has lived up to all of my expectations! We ordered the chicken salad on croissant and the au jus, and a slice of pie to go. Come early on the weekdays, otherwise your pies might be sold out! Terrific wait staff, and even the table bussers were cheerfully efficient. I will absolutely be back again soon!Parking: The place gets busy at lunch, so plan accordingly.

Lexus ls400 fan!
Had lunch yesterday with a client and a friend. She had the 'American burger', I believe. I had the grilled breast chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomato and a side of potato salad. My chicken sandwich; was hands down, the best chicken sandwich I've eaten anywhere in years! Grandmothers are great cooks, right? It was so good, I went home and slapped my Grandmother and said, "Grandma, what's your excuse"???

If you love simple, good southern sandwiches and homemade pies with a hometown feel, go here!! Everyone knows everyone and even if you are a newbie, the owners and waitresses will still greet you like you are apart of this small hometown. There's nothing fancy about this place. It's like going to over to someone's house. The chairs may not match but the food is good and the people are so nice. You'll enjoy the ambience of it all!!

A great place to see smiling faces while enjoying a good meal. The pies melt in your mouth and so worth going back for.
I always enjoy the grilled ham and Swiss on rye. Great value for lunch.
