Albemarle has a great lil' restaurant downtown in The Courthouse Tavern and Table. The term tavern is misleading as the drink menu is very limited. Luckily, the food was very, very good. The hand breaded flounder was tender and crispy. By far, this was the best fried fish sandwhich I have ever eaten. An unhealthy portion of hand cut fries were plated, tasted good and well seasoned, but too many small pieces. Service was good, consistent, and friendly. Stop in and check out this quaint restaurant and the good food they offer. Enjoy!

The service was ok. The waitstaff cant help when its busy and the kitchen is slow.

Small town with Big Taste! Great food and drinks! Great service and very friendly staff...The food is eve better! Ask for the Lalli' Martini...Pineapple infused Gin with a muddled jalapeño! Sea Bass was terrific along with the pimento infused deviled eggs!

We’ve been coming to this restaurant for years, and it never fails to impress. Hands down, this is the best spot in Albemarle, not just for the food, but for the entire experience. From the moment we walk in, it feels like coming home.

The cocktails are always on point, creative, balanced, and consistently delicious. Whether we’re in the mood for something classic or want to try something new, they always hit the mark. The food is great and clearly made with care.

But what truly keeps us coming back time and time again is the service. Sam and Karen are absolutely amazing. They always take such great care of us, remembering the little details and making us feel like VIPs every single time.

Ralph, the manager, is just the best. He’s so personable and genuine, always making time to stop by and chat like we’ve been friends for years. That kind of connection is rare, and it’s one of the many reasons this place feels so special.

We love the Courthouse! My husband and I are here about once a week and have been coming here since we moved to Albemarle. We absolutely adore the staff, cocktails, and the excellent food. We always have a perfect experience. Ralph always rounds on us to make sure things are top notch. The menu specials are always to die for and rotate each week for variety. Karen and Sam are our absolute favorite servers who always take excellent care of us but all the staff are wonderful.

Our office staff eats here for lunch quite often. It's always an enjoyable experience and we love Maddie! She as always got a smile on her face and treats customers the way they should be treated.

When this place opened it was the best around. Something has changed in the past few months. The food and service have become incredibly inconsistent. We’ve tried to continue supporting, but after our last visit we won’t be back.
