In North Carolina if you have a public business and u serve the public it is required to have public restrooms. I walked in with my 2 toddlers in this establishment, no one at the front counter no one in the store area of the business , keep in mind the business is split with half a store and half a resturant the restroom door is in the store area and had the sign Men/ women.no one came to see if I needed anything ..so I walked my toddlers to the restroom .upon leaving the restroom I grabbed an item to pay for and there was a group of people just glaring at us and then I was immediately confronted by an employee, she told me that the restrooms were private and no one can use them ., I apologized and explained that we had previously been at the dollar store up the road and the bathrooms were out of order and my toddler was dancing to use the restroom I saw their establishment and planned on spending money there to have my toddlers use the restroom . She proceeds to tell me that in that town no one has public restrooms ,No one not even gas stations , then asks where do I live , I told her I live near another hispanic store a little bit further on down and the she rudely asks do I use the restroom there?..I told her well because I live close by there I don't have the need to, but I again repeat myself and apologize for using the restroom because I had no idea it was private there were no signs and absolutely no one attending the front counter. I ask her for my receipt and it was like I had asked for her paycheck the evilest glare..I know now not to ever stop there again . If u are serving the public with a food store / sit in resturant, there should definitely be a public restroom. I also filed a General Consumer Complaint. They should treat people with kindness

We've eaten here now a couple of times... delicious street tacos, burritos, and horchata! If you're in the area it's definitely worth making the stop.
