My partner and I go to the Archdale location. We love the food, the waiters/waitresses are friendly and the service is great!
food is bland and has too much salt. turkey dinner was horrible and dressing was like a brick. save your money and go somewhere descent
My husband and I stopped by Archdale Friday night out of nostalgia and we used to be regulars but don't go out much anymore. I loved the Spicy Chicken sandwich so tried it again with hot chips. The waitress asked me how I wanted the chips cooked, crispy or soft and I said somewhere in between. They came out hard as bricks. They must have also changed the mild sauce because it was sour. My husband got a Fall burger, can't remember the name but it had pico and avocado on it. The waitress brings out a plain burger with pico on it and said oh they're out of avocados do you want something else. He said fine, I'll do the cowboy burger and she asked could they use the same patty. I was shocked but he said fine but leave the pico, it should be interesting. She came back with the remade burger with the pico off. So they basically scraped the burger off and slapped new stuff on it. We were hungry so we're just like let's eat and go. I'm eating a spicy chicken mind you and there's no refills, waitress isn't even looking at us and she had 3 tables max. I eventually got up, went to the counter and asked for my own refill. This whole disaster was 38 bucks and I even left a 7 dollar tip for poor service. This was a treat for us, but we won't be doing it again.
Great atmosphere. Wonderful place to get a coffee and an omelette any time of day. Chris is my personal favorite waitress just fyi.

Best place to eat in Archdale. The smash burgers are incredible. Driving home I actually caught myself daydreaming about the flavor. Sounds silly, but true. Will visit every time we go to Creekside park.

First of all, there were not enough stars for me to rate this restaurant appropriately. I give this restaurant ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10 stars. From the moment we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted by every server on duty with warm welcomes and big beautiful genuine smiles. I had just finished grocery shopping for some roasted pepper tomato soup which I planned to have for dinner. As I'm in the grocery store parking lot, my husband tells me that half of Archdale is out of power, including our home. I looked across the parking lot to see the Carolina Diner shining bright blue and silver. I really had been thinking about the soup for a few hours. After our server Kayleigh seated us and took our drink orders, the thought crossed my mind... Although I totally embarrassed my husband with the next words from my mouth, Kayleigh was not bothered at all. I still wanted my soup y'all!!!! So I told her I had a wierd question to ask- I told her about my delicious soup in the car and asked if I could have it warmed up so that I could still have it for dinner. She went to see if I could be accommodated..... Needless to say, I was able to have the soup I'd been craving all day AND I ordered a grilled cheese on Texas toast that she recommended. It was the perfect meal along with my hot tea. That's customer service beyond measure!!! I felt like the luckiest customer for the service and the accomodations. My husband ordered the spaghetti dinner, it was both aesthetically beautiful and scrumptious. Carolina Diner knows how to dish out the southern hospitality from the servers, the cooks and the manager. We're definitely going back again soon!!! Here's to my new favorite diner and server in my new town. Archdale keeps surprising me one little sweet moment at a time. I'm so glad that we recently moved to this quaint little town. Thanks for reading my review and I hope you're now on your way to the diner. If not, what the heck are you still waiting on???? Thank me later. God bless.

Food was comparable to other Carolinas Diner locations. I usually get the farmers' omelet.
Service was good.
The place is absolutely dated and needs a serious makeover.

It is a retro throwback to the 50s soda shops.

Expected more from all the 5 star reviews. Got the turkey dinner and waffle. Portions were small and taste avg. Not much in the way of atmosphere on the inside. Waitress was friendly.
