This is the best spot in Asheboro to enjoy delicious, authentic, New-York-style bagels. There are many styles and flavors to choose from, including garlic, onion, and everything, plus egg, whole wheat, pumpernickel and rye. And, they all come with the same signature crispy outside, and soft, chewy inside - a consistency that can only come from boiling the bagels before baking them. Vegetarian-friendly.
I cannot say enough about this place. First, it is really cute. Second, the staff and the owners are very friendly. Third, the bagels are better than any bagel you will get outside of NYC. Last but certainly not least - if they have cinnamon rolls especially with homemade cream cheese frosting on top - it is AMAZING! Trust me you will love, love, love them!
This place is amazing on all fronts: amazing breakfast menu, the best bagels, and a friendly staff. My wife and I made visiting the Bagel Co. a weekly occurrence. We loved interacting with the owners, Greg and Sara. Ironically, we even share the same last name! They always made a point to have a personal conversation with us.Sadly, my wife and I are no longer in the area so we can't frequent this place as much as we'd like.
