They have the best brisket ever!! This was my first time visiting this location! It's really nice inside. The peach cobbler is delicious. I had to get the mac and cheese. It's always good. The green beans are delicious as well. I like the house dipping sauce the best. This location has better parking and it's bigger. I think this location has the best food. The service was great! They were all very friendly. I do think the prices could be better. Everything is a la carte. They do have specials though. I highly recommend and even though it's about 40 minutes from me, I will return!

I am so glad they added a black powder to Asheboro, originally I went to the Jamestown location. The food tasted like a good southern meal. Amazing atmosphere and service. I love the bannana pudding! Tastes exactly how my grandma made it.

Blackpowder is a wonderful spot in Asheboro. We skipped fast food for lunch while traveling through and were amply rewarded.
They said the brisket is the top seller and I get why. Melt in your mouth with a nice, rubbed, smokey rind. Tried 2/4 of their house sauces and they are good. Mac and cheese is also good.
Space is immaculate and staff flawless.

What a great place! The brisket cheese steak was delicious (the brisket was amazingly tender and flavorful) as were the greens and the blackberry cobbler. My wife had the chopped pork sandwich and macaroni and cheese and had nothing but good things to say. The only hiccup was the banana pudding she got. It was ok, but not on a par with the other dishes. The vibe was upscale casual and everything was super clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. Honestly, I consider our meal, at $42, to be one of the best deals I've found in a long time. Highly recommend!
