This is a 24-hour waffle restaurant and the first thing on the menu is waffles. Totally makes sense. The coffee is there to make the food shine. So if you're coming for designer coffee, this is not the place. I ordered the special number three which is a chopped steak with eggs and it was good and I to have chose to have it the way they make it. It was unseasoned so I was able to season it to my taste. The vibe is old style coffee house with countertop seating as well. Parking was available when I got there but it is always busy and I do mean always busy. I get that because the staff are super friendly and they really are there and get you your food and it's very quick. It's not a big place but the turnover with the food is really good. So if the atmosphere is only four stars, it's because it is a little worn down but it's also got a charm to it. So factor that in and enjoy the food.

I've lived in Asheboro my entire life.and have never been here so my boyfriend and I went today for the first time. The waitress, Debbie, was so nice and the food was delicious. Absolute best sweet tea ever! We will definitely be going back!
This is one of those places you never forget. You know the kind you prepare to wait in line for a seat. We try to travel to here every weekend. Western omelette and waffle. Great staff and great food !

We had great service and it's a really neat place. The prices were great. However, the food was pretty basic. I ordered the hamburger steak and was surprised to find out it doesn't come with gravy, so you have to use ketchup or A1 on it.

We were coming from OH to Myrtle Beach and stayed over a night in Asheboro. Once we registered with the hotel, we headed out to dinner. The Golden Waffle sign caught our eye and did not disappoint. Friendly staff, hometown atmosphere. Service extremely quick. There were three of us and our portions were large and delicious. Would definitely recommend this hidden gem!
