I stopped in this little place where I had never been before just trying to find a good place that was different from my usual menu. When I walked in there were only 2 tables seated so they were not busy at all. I was a little confused because I wasn't sure if I was supposed to seat myself or wait on a hostess to seat me. I waited for a few minutes before I was seated, I was brought a menu pretty quickly and my drink order was taken. When my drink arrived in ample time, I placed my food order. The food was prompt on coming out and was pretty good to be a small place in the middle of Asheboro. While I was eating my meal, the hostess thought it would be appropriate to reach over and restock the condiments on the table when she clearly could have waited to do that until I was gone. I finished my drink and sat with an empty glass for a good bit before being asked if I needed anything, as slow as they were, I should not have had to wait that long for a refill. The atmosphere was ok, the ceiling in the actual restaurant looks like it is about to fall in, the toilet ran continuously so it was difficult to flush, under the sink in the bathroom was a bucket with what looked to be water and a rag in it, not sure what that was for. The hostess and one of the ladies on the wait staff were dressed pretty uniformally, one of the wait staff thought it appropriate to show off her assets by wearing the ever so famous tiktok leggings, she didn't match the other staff members which was not attractive at all. I do not think I will return

It's the right place for the right folks. Good food, polite and charming staff in a je ne sais quoi way, and if you favor spice like myself you'll find a favorite dish here.

Only reason it doesn't have 5 stars is the sausage is usually cold. Service is great, pancakes are off the wall good. The music changes from panflutes to romantic songs to high energy Hispanic music so it's a lottery what you get but I'm fine with all that. Everyone is very friendly and I feel they appreciate you coming there. Haven't tried the more lunch type items but they look amazing

The crispy potatoes were so good! We really enjoyed the food and the prices being reasonable. We got breakfast here before heading to the zoo. We had no problems with service. Would love to try more if we're back in the area!

Brought the wrong food to our table. Then came with half our tables food, multiple missing items, food cooked wrong (eggs), omelette overcooked, coffee was cold and tasted old, water didn’t even taste good. Pancakes came out stone cold, “hashbrowns” I don’t even know what to call those but they were cold and mushy, grits were mush, only decent thing we had was the chicken fried steak. Will not return. The place was empty (except for like 3 uncleaned tables) and we still waited close to 45mins for very subpar food

I sat there with my family for 20 minutes before even being asked what we wanted to drink, then once we ordered 45 minutes later we see all these other people who got here after us getting their food. They treated us like trash because we didn’t speak Spanish. It felt very racist and the owner didn’t even know what he was going. 1 hour later we ask about our food which we ordered PANCAKES the easiest thing to cook. He said they will start cooking it in 5-10 mins !!!!! It’s only 5 mins and an hour later they didn’t even make our food as everyone else got their food when we arrived before them. NEVER WILL COME BACK
