Went into the cantina and sat at the bar, but we were ignored for close to 10 minutes. Granted, the bartenders were busy with tables as well, but they kept looking at us as they were going back and forth and we even made eye contact multiple times. However, they never acknowledged us even to say it would be a minute. We left, and I think they were relieved to have fewer diners to deal with. We went to the main part of the restaurant next door and were greeted immediately and had a great experience with wonderful service. The food here is always amazing, but I wouldn’t recommend the cantina side.

The absolute best tacos hands down! Hand made tortillas.. lol I had to tell my husband to leave me alone because I wasn't hearing anything he was saying while I was eating lol.. was a little busy on a Saturday night but amazing food. Owner is friendly and conversational very pretty as well definitely tell she takes pride in the business! We will be back and I hope any one in the area looking for food stops by. They have a take out window and two different sides to the restaurant one is more for the bar folks and the other a quaint restaurant both serve alcohol. Can be a little cramped when busy but definitely worth it.

Great little restaurant in a very cool old building downtown. Some outdoor tables as well. Good selection of tacos, veggie options & great service.

One part of my order was a chicken quesadilla to-go...the refried beans were watery, the wrap wasn't toasted/grilled and there was enough cheese on it to choke a horse (no area to post an image). Four people glanced at me, standing under the canopy (because it was raining) and ignored me until I pressed the bell. The manager ( owner's daughter from what she said) did not want to give me her name when I called back to inform her of the incident....I'm just frustrated because this is not the 1st time that I've been ignored over other customers, when waiting at the window. I'm not sure if they will get much more of my business.

Absolutely delicious, authentic cooking. Order the beef tongue tacos. Don't think about it, just do it. Savory and delicious! And the chorizo will make you stand at attention; spicy awesomeness. Fun atmosphere. Very attentive service, even on a packed Friday night.

*** EDIT*** Read below

(Best Hispanic food in Asheboro. Hands down.) Yeah... that was my review 5 years ago, and it was true when it was a little house on Loach St

Al Pastor is no longer made fresh, portions are small, Lengua is not cooked well, overall the food quality is basically gone, especially for the price.

Shame too.

Atmosphere and staff are great but the food is no longer what it was. Not even close.

If you want real tacos, go to Taqueria Tacorriendo El Chino on Fayetteville St.

We happen to walk by this place during the Ashboro Fall Festival. We got seated right away, and the server met us at our table promptly. The place was packed with people, yet our drinks and meal came in, what I would call, the standard amount of time. We were pleasantly surprised because we were expecting our food to take a long while to be served. I would definitely go back the next time i'm in Asheboro
