Great place and great people

Had lunch there last Saturday (23 Jan). The place was fantastic, great food, great views, and great service. The young lady doing the cooking was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Next time I'm out that way I plan to stop by and have a meal. Also Don's needs to be added to your bucket list. It's a must do stop before you pass on.

Right next to the Morris Ferry, for those headed to North Core Banks. This “mom & pop” old school diner is right on the Core Sound and staffed and frequented by friendly locals. The burgers are juicy, flavorful and fresh. Everything is made to order, hot and fresh. My husband and I are here twice during our week-long visit Down East. I had to come back & try the Shrimp Burger, which was also wonderful. Before you leave, don’t forget to enjoy the deck overlooking the Sound with the most delightful breezes on the island!

So rude from moment we walked in! We got rude attitudes when we asked about what beers they did and didnt have! Tried ordering chicken tenders for my daughter she cut me off before I even finished telling her that they didnt have it so then tried ordering cheese fries they didnt have that either (also cut me off before I could finish then when we left to leave they putting chicken tenders in the fryer!! As I walked pass the bar behind a woman eating cheese fries!

Out of the way and off the beaten path, this little diner is full of southern hospitality and charm. Great prices, but please expect slightly slow service as they have a small staff. Let me be clear though, the service is excellent, just dont be in a rush. If you're looking to relax and enjoy a great meal with a great view, come check them out.

The place is rundown now but the service is good and the food is ok. I go there for the views.

Best burgers in NC> We drive 1 hr each way to dine here. The staff is fantastic and the prices are a throwback to 1970! LOVE this place.

Worth the drive and worth the wait. Shrimp burgers are awesome.

This is definitely the best place to grab some grub before heading out in the boat. I highly recommend this for every meal of the day.
