We stopped to try White Point because of the high ratings. The food wasn't the worst, but not the best either. We tried burgers, hot dogs, fries, fried pickles, and the hush puppies. The best thing was the hush puppies and fried pickles. The order of fried pickles was very small, 6 small pickle slices. The burgers were just okay. The fries were cooked well but weren't seasoned at all. The hot dog was awful. It was overcoked, and the bun was not edible, stale, and very hard. The wait was excessively long....over 30 minutes.

We stopped in after getting off the ferry for a bite to eat. And my oh my was it delicious! Their cheeseburgers, onion rings, hush puppies, crab cake sandwiches and shrimp burgers are delightful. The tea is also amazing. We will definitely be stopping here anytime we’re in town.
Portion sizes were a little bit smaller than I expected relative to the pricing but given its location I can understand why it is a little pricier. The cheeseburger was just okay but the onion rings were outstanding! Admittedly, I probably should have taken a little bit more time to look over the menu that was posted outside of the ordering window. There are some other pictures of the menu online that was a little bit different from what is posted at the physical location. That is no fault of the owner of the business and as I said I should have taken more time to look over the menu that they have posted on the building and that is on me.
Nice stop on the way to the OBX Ferry. Very affordable prices for lunches!! Decent burgers for like $4-$5 bucks. Got some crinkle cut fries too for like $2.90 for a little basket of fries (maybe 20-30 fries?) I dunno but it is a legit stop and they have a nice selection and it’s pretty much an 11:00 AM -6:00 PM kinda place for short order foods and there is lots of nice SHADE TREES around and some picnic tables. TAKE OUT ONLY/ TO GO ONLY
But you can sit outside on there patio/porch I guess? Or there were some outside wooden picnic tables in the shade @ 3:05 PM Saturday 05 APR 2025. Ferry is $15 per car or truck too FYI and I just seen a tour bus on one?!? And I seen a beer truck semi commercial tractor/trailer, motorcycles, bicycles, walkers, what ever you got they float it out to Ocracoke Island.
This place is about 15-20 from Ferry also. There is camping and horses on the beach here at Cedar Island. Come check em out!!
Food was just ok. Burgers and fries were overcooked. Condiments on the burgers cost $.75 extra for each (pickles and onions). In all my 50+ years I have never paid extra for pickles or onions. And to top it all off 4 chicken tenders were $15.96. That doesn't even include fries. Just the tenders....$4 a piece. So for 2 cheesburgers, 2 fries and 4 chicken tenders the price was $37. This place is riduculous and very overrated!

The place was amazing the lady working the counter was very friendly very personable and the food was fantastic if you’re in Atlantic or on the way to the ferry, stop in and get a bite to eat eat
