Have been eating there for almost 60 years, personally I think it's the best there is. I tried it in Chicago, Montreal, Maine, New York, Miami, no BBQ like that except Eastern North Carolina and it's the best there is, I drove a tracktor trailers and searched some, after I tried in state after state in different areas, None of them are close. Sam's BBQ in Greenville NC is a close second and he is even kin to Pete.
Amazing!!! I've been eating from Pete Jones Barbecue since I was a child. I'm sixty years old now. I remember Mr. Jones when he was working in the store. Now his grands are running it just like he was and his father before him.. He would be pride. The food has the same flavor. It's like when I was a child coming from Forth Barnville, NC. Today was my first visit with my sister and to say I am impressed is an understatement. The food was delicious and you get a nice portion but today the thing that impressed me the most were the young men working there. I only got Hayden’s name, which was the main one that helped us.
