Extensive menu options. Food was prepared and served as ordered. All in the group were very pleased with the quality of the food. Ask for Belle as your server. She was great!!!
We loved The Gamekeeper. Courtesy Valet Parking was a plus! The entire experience was lovely. We had a wonderful table with a bench seat covered in pillows. Perfect for those on the shorter stature. Twinkling lights and impressive wildlife adorn the walls and beams. Tonya was our server and loved her. She was very helpful and attentive. We started with a glass of wine. We decided to share the scallop first course. While I loved the scallops, the peas were the best I have ever had. I had the bouillabaisse and my husband had the mixed grill as his meal. We both chose perfectly. We recommend reservations although they said they could accommodate some walk ups. Mike had a chasescake to go and said it was wonderful. We hope to return another day!
The food was great. The swamp bites (gator) were excellent and not overcooked or chewy like some places. The gumbo was pretty good, too. I will say this: It is a resort area, so expect it to be a little pricey, especially with drinks, but I'm not disappointed.
For great service and excellent cocktails see Amy and MC !
Best place ever!!! Good food, great service, great location
3 day vacation in the area and needed to eat something. Put too much faith in the reviews however and made a mistake. Food and service very underwhelming. Live and learn I guess
Today we visited Bayou Banner Elk. The food was really good. The service from Vic and Blake was excellent. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The food was very good and seasoned with love. The atmosphere was inviting. Mutlpe TV, amazing outdoor arra and bar. Great place to grab bite to eat and hang with friends. I would definitely recommend.
Restaurant cancelled reservation within 5 minutes of our scheduled time. Reason was lack of food. One would think they could recognize that earlier. We drove 30 minutes to eat at that location only to be turned away
Great atmosphere, great waitress, cute town, amazing drinks, great hospitality!
I hope it's still there.

Louisiana Shrimp Gumbo had nice flavor with the right amount of heat, but otherwise a disappointment. Authentic gumbo has diced onions, peppers, celery, okra, etc. This was just a very thin concoction with some shrimp added. The chicken quesadilla was just ok on its own, but the chicken had a strange off flavor and was not palatable. The atmosphere was very nice sitting outside. Tables were not crowded together, live music held to a volume that allowed for conversation.

Great little dive for comfort food. Had the gumbo, the Cajun sampler, and the brisket sandwich. Excellent food! Okra was ok. Friendly staff. Great location for live music.

Stopped in for dinner around 6:00pm on a Friday. We were immediately seated with our drink and food order taken soon after. Plenty of indoor, outdoor, and bar seating. I had The K.T.K. and my husband had the crawfish etouffee - both were absolutely delicious! I would definitely go back if I’m ever in the area again.
Parking: Plenty of parking out back.
