Nice Atmosphere. Prices a little high for the portions. 3% add on for Credit Card usage seems excessive based on the prices. Will start taking out of Wait staff tip and owners can settle up with staff.

This was my first time going to LP on Main and unfortunately, it will be my last. Four of us went for dinner and we were seated properly. However, as we were ordering from the menu, a simple thing like asking for salad dressing on the side we were told no we can’t do that and then we asked for other substitutions …And again no we can’t do that. There are so many options of good restaurants to go to in the area where the answer is not “no” for everything you ask for and it’s always what can we do to make your experience more pleasant. Three of our meals came out and it was 15 minutes before the last meal came out. This is unacceptable and I don’t know how they stay in business.
Having absolutely no substitutions!! Not even being able to get your salad dressing on the side is an absolute deal-breaker. People have different pallets and different tastes, so there should be some common sides you're able to change to. Three dishes came out 15 minutes ahead of the fourth dish. The pairings of the food and the sides were not good. The salmon was excellent but the the pickled veggies as the side did not go well. This is our first first time at the new location and will probably be our last. Good luck!

Friday at 11:30 for lunch with friends and we sat outside which was great. A good time to go when not busy but they had limited staff on duty. Upon ordering A sandwich and asking for the solo sauce on the side or just being left off due to allergies our waitress said not allowed. There may have been 5 people dining at that time and we were a party of 4. Not busy at all and not able to accommodate one of our 4. Not pleasant with ordering the food we wanted.

The food tasted good, but if you are going to charge $18 dollars for a salad it better be a full entree size. The lunch menu was limited and we left hungry.
Amazing service!!! We made a reservation weeks in advance. But, canceled last minute because we were staying at the top of beech mountain and I overreacted with anxiety about the drive back up. We ended up just walking in hoping to still get a table. The hostess handled my blunder so graciously! We had a to wait a bit, but it was SO worth it. The yellowfin tuna and ribs were big standouts. Monica’s wine recommendation was on the nose. It’s a bit loud inside, but it won’t take long for the food to down everything else out.

During a busy weekend in Banner Elk, LP on Main kindly sat our party of 4 at 5:30 without a reservation. We could tell they had a busy evening planned and we were extremely grateful that they squeezed us in. The food was fresh, delicious, and the staff was extremely attentive. The highlight was the Caesar Salad! I would highly recommend LP on Main!

Do not leave Banner Elk without dining here! As I waited for the restaurant to open, I saw one of the staff collecting clippings from the outside garden. The staff was friendly and attentive. I started with the pineapple paloma, which was refreshing and delicious with a bit of a kick from the cayanne salt rim. I had the crab cake with lusty monk mustard cream sauce and the Seared Scallops with
chorizo potato salad, chimichurri, and charrone. I am usually not a fan of deep-fried crab cake, but this dish proofed me wrong. It was perfectly fried, the lump crabs inside were plentiful and
seasoned superbly with a richness that left me wanting more . The scallops were flawlessly seared and tasted amazing with their special sauce, similar to a Béarnaise with a hint of saffron. The acidity from the chimichurri sauce helped balance the dish along with the potato salad that had a little kick from the chorizo. I can't wait to come back and enjoy their other dishes. In the meantime, I will be dreaming about those scallops.

Beautiful restaurant, great location, polite & lovely hostess/manager. Great drink menu.
We were in Banner Elk on Saturday and decided to try LP on Main. I wish I had realized that the restaurant has “no modification” strict guideline. I ordered a salad and asked if I could have the dressing on the side and another person in our party asked if he could have the Bison burger without pickles- both request were met with a “no modification” rule. I am fine with whatever a restaurant wants to implement, but If I had known I would have chosen another restaurant. We have enjoyed every restaurant we have eaten at in Banner Elk and I was hoping to enjoy LP, I am glad I tried LP - and that I am aware of their policies. I can make an informed decision before I decide to eat there again.

This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good, some italian classics and some twists, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it. It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing wines, food and service. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations.

The food is good but they are a little over the top with the no modifications policy. My wife has celiac so cant eat gluten. We wanted to share the poutine which has lobster gravy, I asked if they could put the gravy on the side since it contained gluten, the waitress said they cannot make any modifications. We were also told the Caesar salad could not be served without crostini. Not asking to reinvent the menu just hold off on 2 things but no flexibility was given, its a shame because we do like the restaurant.

Blown away! Fine dining meets southern hospitality. The cocktails, the atmosphere, the food!!! Top notch. They even distracted my fussy toddler so I could eat my meal hot! Can’t wait to return. These good people rely on tourism, so if you’re passing through, make sure to stop!
Do not go here if you have dietary restrictions. While the waitress was as pleasant about it as possible, I was told no accommodations from the kitchen.. everything on the menu is as-is. I just wanted to substitute a dairy side I would not be able to eat, which is a very simple thing to do, however I was told no. My husband and I went there as their online menu had a couple options I could eat and sounded good, only to find out their online menu is not accurate and neither option was on the menu. The only meal I could eat was the chicken thigh so I ordered it. The meal was good, nothing special, and definitely very pricey for not much food. Considering the lack of effort to accommodate dietary restrictions and their limited menu, I probably won’t be back.
