Took an hour to be served! People that came in after us had their food b3fore us. I am local bit wont be back after this last trip waiting over an hour for our food! Then to get half cold food.

I don't know if the waiter could tell we were in a bad mood when we got there but we were not in a bad mood when we left. The food helped too haha. The salsa bar was fun. I'm now a white salsa fan.

This place is for people that don't know what good food tastes like. Had 3 orders and we were disappointed with all 3. Fettuccini Alfredo lacked any garlic or pepper - like queso blanco on noodles. Nachos with ground beef - queso blanco was used instead of cheddar - this made the nachos soggy immediately. Ground beef wasn't drained, so left grease all over the food. Inedible - we gave it to the dog. Lasty the fajitas - the salad portion came out 15 mins before the hot plate portion. The refried beans were the consistency of thin watery applesauce - should be thicker. The hot plate portion was under seasoned, with no flavor in the chicken - it was obvious it was cooked in advance and just tossed on the plate at the end.

Only pros were it was cheap, and there was a salsa bar, and the servers worked hard, but the kitchen staff were overwhelmed and couldn't perform to delivery quality food. Will never return.

Those of you rating this 5 stars - please travel around and try good Mexican food (like, any Rick Bayless restaurant) - you owe it to yourselves to discover what 5-star Mexican food really is.

I miss having one in Boone, but I'm glad the on in Banner Elk has reopened. The food is always phenomenal, the salsa bar is great, and their organic margaritas are worth every penny.

Good food with a huge selection!!! Salsa bar with 10 homemade salsa from traditional salsa to guacamole salsa. Service a little slow but excellent staff!!!

Waitress got one order wrong. Never asked if everything was ok until she brought the check. Never came back since we only ordered water to drink. She waited on the two tables of men that ordered drinks several times.
