Our evening at Sorrento’s was beyond our expectations! The ambiance and 5-star service we received from our server, Caleb, made our night unforgettable! The crab cakes were spectacular! We will be returning again soon!

What a wonderful atmosphere for our trip to Banner Elk! The Manicotti and Crab Cakes were five stars! Caleb, our server, went above and beyond for us. His knowledge and suggestions of the menu was top-notch!

Sorrento’s in Banner Elk is a true Italian gem, and their brunch is absolutely top-tier. Everything was made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and you can tell the kitchen takes pride in their craft.

The service was exceptional—attentive, kind, and genuinely welcoming without ever being overbearing.

Update : Visted Barra for the Thursday Prime Rib Special. Folks this is a normal size prime rib as a special. It is the steal of the century.

Update: My father and I were given a night at Prime 21. Amazing.

Update: Lunch .. get the roast beef sandwich. The best deal in all of Banner Elk hands down.

The food and service at Sorrento's is exceptional every time. Jennifer is amazing, and the food is very obviously made fresh each day. Sunday brunch is divine, with a rotating menu each week. We were so happy to have had our pre-wedding dinner here, and can not recommend Sorrento's enough. A must-dine for locals and tourists alike! Very romantic for couples, but extremely family-friendly with beautiful artworks by a local artist. In the many times I have visited, there has not been a single unsatisfactory experience.

Food here is average at best. Menu very limited. Service is good. Atmosphere is just ok...chairs not comfortable. They benefit from having a huge place with indoor and outdoor seating in an excellent location.

I like the Spinach and Artichoke dip but everything is overpriced for the quality of food . Dining in the servers are great but picking up to go orders they are just kind of rude and food is messed up fairly often. Super frustrating to pay almost 30 dollars for a pasta dish with no protein and it not be amazing.

Underwhelmed and disappointed. The best part of the evening was the service and wine ?
The presentation looked appetizing. However, food was not. Crab cakes are a favorite of my partner, and they were worst tasteless he has ever had. Couldn't finish.
It was an expensive experience for such a disappointing for our special evening out.
We were told by friends to skip this restaurant, but it had decent reviews, so we took a chance. It was after Labor Day and not crowded as it usual is when we are out and about in Banner Elk.
We would not go back to this particular establishment.
