This is a great place to watch a game! They have 18 TVs. They had live music. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun. The roadhouse nachos are excellent. The wings are very good and they have a large selection of sauces for the wings. There is a good selection of beer on tap. We ate at the bar so we could watch a football game and the service was excellent.

This place goes more downhill every time we visit. Please hire a better kitchen manager/cooks. The artichoke was beyond greasy. Not edible. Cold onion rings and fries. Food doesn’t come out like it’s ordered. Once enjoyed eating at the one in Blowing Rock but the one in Banner Elk is bad. Good place for a drink is about all. Clean the bathrooms and the floors. Please do better. We love to support local.

The food and service are really good here. Plus they have a really good cocktail selection. However, the volume on the TV's is downright deafening inside.

Food took twice as long. Was cold. Didn't come with au jus. It was a French Dip. Don't recommend.

The football game was a little loud, but not too bad. Food was great and our server did a supreme job.

Husband ordered fried pickles for app. They came out dripping in oil.. He ordered fish and chips and I ordered the steak and cheese wrap. Fish was not crispy or flakey. It was absolutely oil logged. My wrap had zero flavor. I knew the kitchen was just pushing food out way to first. And the fry oil was not hot enough. Server was good and so were the drinks.

Great place. Great addition to banner elk. It used to be a bank back in the day! The cheese steak is really good. Buncha beers on tap!

Highly recommend. Great service, polite staff, food arrived for our party of 15 faster than expected & correct. Plenty of ballgames on as well.

Stopped by Town Tavern in Banner Elk and tried the chili dog—absolutely delicious! The chili had just the right amount of spice, and it paired perfectly with the juicy hot dog for a classic comfort food experience. The tavern itself had a cozy, laid-back atmosphere that made it a great place to unwind. The service was friendly and attentive, adding to the welcoming vibe. Whether you’re passing through or a local, Town Tavern is a solid spot to satisfy a comfort food craving.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere - went to watch football game. Food came out very quickly and it was all great. We had nachos, wings and burgers. Waitress was great about re-fills. BUT we were sitting by one of the overhead doors. A host came over and opened the door. It was quite chilly sitting there but the worse thing were the flies!!!! We had planned to stay and drink for the entire game but we had to leave at 1/2 time. We were cold and the flies were awful. You need to get screens for the openings especially with horses across the street! Also would not have been seated there if I knew they were going to open the doors! Otherwise a great place and nice addition to the area!
