I'm an out-of-towner, visiting friends in Bayview and we met up at Blackbeard's last night. I was there with my son, a wheelchair user, and the staff was incredibly helpful in getting us seated. The hostess removed a chair for us and moved our table back so my son could fit comfortably. This alone was enough for me to love the place but the food amd drinks were amazing and our waitress, Casey, was super attentive and sweet! I'd recommend Blackbeard's a thousand times!

We love the new menu!!!! Haven’t been to Blackbeard’s in a couple of years and decided to try it again as new management has taken over and we were incredibly happy with our food! Pizza was delicious!! Just placed our second order in a week. Only thing that would make it absolutely perfect is if they extended their delivery radius to bayview!! 😉🤪

I don't understand some of the less-than-positive reviews here for Blackbeard's Tavern; all I can do I tell you that my wife and I have enjoyed excellent meals here ever since the new management came in, got settled, and now have several months of experience under their belts. We order pizza regularly, and it is always very good. We also go occasionally after church -- thank you for your Sunday hours! -- and especially enjoy the cheese steak sandwich and the flounder basket. The other menu choices look tempting as well, but you know how it is -- you find something you especially like, and changing up is hard to do. Staff are always friendly, just the right amount of chatty, and attentive. It's great to have a local pub/tavern with excellent food in such a small town. Highly recommend!

My family and I have eaten here once before with no issues. However our second visit was told they shut down the kitchen at 5:30pm. When the restaurant is open until 7pm. We came in roughly 5:25pm. Which makes no sense. To have a restaurant and kitchen shuts down and hour half prior to closing. I can see roughly 25 to 30 minutes prior. Lady that told us as we walked in was nice but no further explanation of why.

The burger was alright; 5 stars overall because of the staff. Very friendly and patient, even when they were very very busy. My father got the fish tacos, he said they were good!

It's impressive how over the years Blackbeard's quality has gone down as its prices have gone up. Even under the new ownership the food is nowhere near worth the price. Nearly $50 for 2 mediocre pizzas; you're better off spending $7 on a walmart supreme pizza. The wait staff is always nice, but this place has always been severely understaffed.

On the outside it looks like an abandoned pirate haunt, but don't be fooled! On the inside it is fresh, welcoming, smells very nice, is very friendly and serves good food. We tried garlic knots - to die for! Also shrimp tacos, shrimp basket, and even basic salads are fresh and appetizing. Great local beer from North Carolina breweries
The pizza is absolutely excellent with a homemade crust recipe and fresh ingredients.

Traveled from virginia beach. Pizza was delicious. Atmosphere was inviting. The servers were sweet and attentive. The new owners made a point to stop at our table to greet us and ask how our experience was going. They were grateful we stopped in. We look forward to our next visit to Bath.
