Belhaven is such a quaint little town with great restaurants and shopping. The River Forest Manor recently opened and is such a charming place to stay and enjoy a wonderful meal. Their dinner menu as well as their Sunday brunch is well worth a short trip to Belhaven.
Wonderful experience at the Bistro in the newly improved River Forest Manor. The food is great and the view is even better!

very pleasant waitress outstanding buffet for brunch this morning. the mimosa broad was great. I would highly recommend you to enjoy the bistro 1904. I would grade it a 5.
My husband and I along with good friends dined at the manor tonight. It’s the first time I’ve visited the home since I was a child, over 45 years ago. The food was divine, the atmosphere enchanting and the house is glorious! Don’t miss out on the opportunity that’s at your fingertips! Go! Eat, enjoy and explore. You won’t be disappointed.
New restaurant. Amazing food. We’ll be back.

Took my wife to brunch for her birthday. It was very good. She couldn’t say enough about the buffet. Me on the other hand ordered the clams and linguini with a chorizo sort of bolognese. It was good except that chorizo overpowered the dish. Won’t do that again. I also ordered an espresso and a shot of sambuca. Espresso was about 6 oz. In a 12 oz. cup. Next time I’ll bring my own demitasse cup. Kind of over kill on the espresso. Otherwise , we’d eat there again with contingencies.

The souvlaki was not souvlaki but a gyro. As such the sauce was pleasantly creamy and the chicken was complimented by plenty of feta. The pita was quite dry, however, and the onions and tomatoes were rather sparse. Side of fries was unremarkable. One of our lunch companions said that on a prior visit the fries had been uniquely savory and that the smash burger was markedly better. The wait time was about 30 minutes. .
They are on to something there! We had brunch…. And yes Jeremy, those are the best grits I’ve ever had! Sit anywhere in that building WHO thought of that? You are from another planet! Incredible food and the staff won’t quit till they make you feel like you’re at home. I didn’t want to leave after I had eaten. Thanks Larry and Gina and staff for all your hard work.

Amazing delicious Sunday brunch in this historic Belhaven location. Owners have done an amazing job of restoration of the building and have an excellent chef. Highly recommended.

We just enjoyed a 24 hour stay in celebration of our wedding anniversary. We were treated royally and can't speak highly enough of the hospitality team. A special shout out to Harley and of course, Gina and Larry. We will be back
Had dinner here on Valentine's Day and the food was incredible! The service was great and very reasonable priced for the remarkable experience.
