This is hands down the best restaurant on the ICW. The mushroom soup we had recently was really memorable! My Hungarian husband is still talking about it! Outstanding flavor, meaty mushrooms, creamy.
Service was welcoming and smooth. We eat here every time we pass through and would detour for it any day. End with the carrot cake. It is exceptionally delicious!

**I read this to my husband and he says mention the mushroom soup again, lol.

First night with the new fall menu, the Harvest Salad and the Wild Mushroom Soup are excellent! Restaurant opens at 5. We had a reservation for 5pm and glad for it -- they filled up quickly!

This was my third visit and it was wonderful as always. The staff is so kind and the food is incredible. They are awesome with kids and made the experience so special for my daughter. Thank you!

This is an amazing restaurant. The food, ambiance, staff; was incredible. Was in belhaven traveling and it so was good we ate there twice. it's a feast for the eyes and palate. Me and my crew will be back again

Giving two starts. Ate there for a rehearsal dinner this weekend; the tuna made not only myself, but everyone that ordered it sick. I had the worst case and sent me into a weird allergic reaction where I became extremely hot to the touch on my face, my lips were on fire too, I was breaking out in a red rash all over my face and chest, and was lightheaded. I have no allergies to anything and I eat tuna regularly. I ended up taking two Benadryl immediately before having to walk down the aisle of this wedding and was completely out of it all evening and ruined my time. The server stated the tuna was out at first, but then came back after checking with the kitchen and said they had “found some” so we were able to order it. Please take better precautions in your establishment when serving food.

Drove up an hour and a half from New Bern on a recommendation from a friend. What a cool little place in a cool little town. Really enjoyed drinks, dinner, and dessert. Met the owner who was so kind. Will be back again for sure!

I don’t even know where to begin!! From the moment we walked in the door everything was absolutely perfect! Good service much less EXCEPTIONAL service is hard to come by these days. Food- to die for, atmosphere- amazing, service- phenomenal. Sam was our waitress, made sure our glasses were never even remotely empty and super attentive. Teresa, the owner, saw my mom and I browsing around the wine shop and took the time to show us around and give us some of the unique history of the building. 10/10 recommend! Well worth the drive from Greenville 🩷❤️ and we will be back!

Took wife for birthday. Risotto was basically rice soup, scallops to salty to eat, tuna pretty good. Cold fruit and ricotta served in same bowl as hot food

Spoon River is the pearl of Belhaven! We simply can not say enough wonderful things about this food, these people, and this beautiful space.

We were blessed to have our wedding reception in the events space at Spoon River. Teresa and Mark went above and beyond to make our intimate wedding celebration dreams come true. Every detail was executed so well! The space was beautifully decorated with stunning flowers and art. Teresa delivered on our vision and included several sentimental pieces throughout the space.

Samantha was so helpful from the beginning of wedding planning through the last moment of the reception and everything in between!

Chef Paul and his team helped us craft a special menu for our guests and absolutely knocked it out of the park. Our guests still rave about the delicious food they had that night. We could not have asked for more- it was perfect!

What an absolutely amazing place and meal. Upon walking in me and my two girlfriends were greeted with a warm welcome and smile and seated. We were told about the appetizer and dinner specials and offered a drink.

I got the meatballs as an appetizer for us all to share which had a great flavor and was delicious. For dinner I had the beef tips, huge portions and well seasoned. We were offered a desert of fresh blue berries and peaches with ice cream and whipped cream

The server was very polite and attentive, the owner took time to check on us as well as chat about the place and a little bit about herself. The chef introduced himself as well.

To say the experience was delightful is an understatement, an absolute amazing experience.

Have traveled over 6000 miles on our boat. This is hands down the absolute FINEST RESTAURANT we have been to. The owners make it a wonderful experience ❤️❤️❤️
