Walking into this place, the staff was so so very friendly. I appreciate the hospitality. The wait wasn’t too long for our food. The salad 🥗 bar came with our order. They have a large variety of things on the salad bar. You can find the slaw, macaroni salad and much more on the salad bar. I got a combination perch flounder and baby 🍤 fish plate. The fish was fried very nicely, but the thing I didn’t like is that it had absolutely no taste no seasoning at all and I got mine salt and pepper. Had I taken my own season I could’ve enjoyed this food and at times I keep seasonings with me for this exact reason. I packed most of my food to take home because I was going to season ,reheat and eat it but I left it at the restaurant by mistake. My waitress was the best. Thank you for your service. They have daily specials, and senior specials are listed on the menu.
Pick up four stars because of the hospitality in a nice clean restaurant

I ordered the fried mix with shrimp and sea scallops, and the scallops were truly outstanding. Their rich flavor and perfect texture made the entire meal unforgettable.

Typically good food, but today the food is good but today not really so. I can in for lunch and ordered 3 of the baby flounder shrimp specials. Food was pretty bland. Fish no seasoning the shrimp was ok but the quality wasn't there. Also I'm not sure if they changed the starter sauce and cocktail sauce but something tastes off.
To whom it may concern, I took the wife out to get a fish dinner from the captain's cap in Belmont North Carolina, on Monday 11/24/25. The restaurant was not busy at all. we are going to just cut to the chase and describe the unpleasant experience; we both ordered an entree with a baked potato, while trying to fix our not cooked and hardly warm baked potato, we are looking all over the restaurant to let our server know that we would like to get new baked potatoes. finally, the server came and went to get two plates to pick up our baked potatoes, she then returned about one - two minutes later and said they will be here shortly, I was at the point that I was finished with my dinner and did not want the baked potato that should of been prepared properly in the first place.so she comes to the table and i said we do not want them anymore as we are now finished with our dinner. I stated to just take them off our bill and she said they are included in the meal and went and got a manager. we shared the experience with the manager, and I firmly said to take the bake potatoes off our bill, and he confirmed without any care of their customer the same thing the waitress said they are included in the meal. I'm sorry this was very poor manager decision, as the waitress never checked on us and we had to wait, and I'm sorry I do not eat left over baked potatoes. This restaurant lost two customers over something that could have been correct in a more professional way. the waitress was so rude when she brought out to go boxes, and you'll guess she was rewarded with a zero tip and a bad review.

There was a steady stream of people coming and going, but it never felt crowded. The server was polite, knew the menu, and was quick to get anything I requested. Water was refilled without asking. The broiled scallops were cooked tender, and the fried shrimp was crunchy and wasn't greasy. The free salad bar with the food was very basic, but appreciated. Pacing was a bit of a problem. My soup showed up while I was getting the salad, and was far too hot to eat. The seafood showed up mid-salad (still hadn't touched the soup), so table space was an issue.

Atmosphere:large space, great lighting
Service: Outstanding, very professional, engaging
Food: The food was good! hott & fresh.
They have a salad bar...but it is not all you can eat; it's one visit. (the plates are elementary size, so be wise)
I only had one minor issue: The tartar cause was runny, I opted not to have any.
Overall: GOOD EXPERIENCE!!!

A great lunch date with a galpal, delicious food and a fabulous server who continually checked on us. I hadn't been here in several years but I'll have to add it to our rotation going forward!

I ate there on Saturday night and got food poisoned. The food was good but I think because the tartar sauce was not kept cold.
