I placed a to-go order of flounder, white fish, catfish and a side of shrimp. The food was hot and ready when I got there. The cashier at the window provided a present exchange and the food was very good. It was just as I expected.

The Captain’s Cap located at 670 Park St, Belmont, NC 28012 is my new favorite Seafood Restaurant in the Charlotte area by a very good margin. Perfectly seasoned Seafood and fresh, REALLY fresh. I got the fried Combo with Shrimp and Scallops and the Scallops were among the best I’ve had anywhere including Boston. I’m spoiled coming from the North and this is truly the only really great Seafood Restaurant I’ve been to in the Carolinas. Typically the local fish places are extremely salty breaded - these weren’t. Flavorful, not remotely dull, but it wasn’t the salt lick I’m so accustomed to around here. And the prices - low, really, really low for the quality and quantity I got. Recently went to Red Lobster and got their Seafood which I really ripped into their place as being low quality and expensive. This was the opposite. Try the Garlic Bread too - gigantic family of 4 portion for under $3.My server was a sweetheart too! Quick, checked back often and was very welcoming. Manager is the Son of the Founder - this is a family owned Restaurant.Bravo!Parking: Big lot

Have only eaten here once. Had flounder lunch special with fries and salad bar. Pretty basic salad bar but everything was fresh. Flounder was cooked well but portion was on the small side. Fries were good but hush puppies were greasy. Prices are fair and service good.

Wow, what an unexpectedly nice time! Kaitlin, our server, was so attentive and pleasant. UPDATE, me and hubby went back for a Thursday evening date night! Kaitlin was the absolute best again!Kid-friendliness: We had 4 older kids and one toddler. They all enjoyed their food.

I HADN'T ATE IN THIS PLACE IN SOME YEARS AND THE REASON FOR THAT WAS BC THE FOOD WAS AWFUL.... WELL IT HASN'T CHANGED AND FOR THE HIGH EXPENSIVE PRICE U DIDN'T GET ANYTHING!!!!! WASTE OF MONEY, WASTE OF TIME AND I SURELY WILL NEVER BE BACK THERE!!!!!! THE WAITRESS WAS PRETTY GOOD UNTIL MY UNCLE GOT SOME "FOOD" THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE CATFISH AND IF THAT WAS CATFISH THAT WAS THE MOST CRAZIEST LOOKING CATFISH I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!!!!! U DO NOT GET ENOUGH FOOD WHATSOEVER!!!!! HE TOLD THE WAITRESS ABOUT IT AND SHE TOOK HIS PLATE BACK AND THE COOK TOLD HER IT WAS CATFISH AND MY UNCLE TOLD HER NO IT WASN'T AND SHE SAID WELL IF U DON'T LIKE IT U CAN TAKE IT UP WITH MANAGEMENT OR I CAN GET THEM TO MAKE U SOMETHING ELSE.... WELL BY THE TIME THAT WAS SAID AND DONE MY UNCLE DIDN'T WANNA EVEN EAT AND I CAN'T BLAME HIM.... HORRIBLE HORRIBLE FOOD AND WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME I WOULDN'T EVER REFER ANYONE TO GO HERE.... I'LL PUT OUT THIS WAY I GOT A 3 COMBO PLATE AND IT WAS BROUGHT OUT AND IT LOOKED LIKE I ORDERED A KIDS PLATE AND I TOLD THE WAITRESS LIKE WHERE'S THE REST OF THE FOOD AND SHE SAID THAT'S IT... For to go orders, make sure you check and taste your food before pulling off. I got a small calabash shrimp dinner to go yesterday. The shrimp was hot and freshly made, but the fries and hushpuppies tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours and were disgusting. They were not busy at all, so I don't understand why everything on the plate wasn't made fresh. Expected more for a $15 lunch, but then again, almost all food in Gaston County is disappointing. Not too surprised.

Food is marginal at best. Shrimp seemed greasy and rubbery. Baked potato wasn't done. Service was fair and not attentive. Place is showing its age. Salad bar was skimpy and not well kept. Decided to try because it is closer to home. Surf & Turf in Bessemer City is far superior to this place. Will not return.

I used to eat here it was great. We stopped coming and went to Gastonia exclusively when they said they'd "never" reopen their salad bar; Gastonia did.We decided to give it another try years later when they reopened their salad bar. It had nearly everything Gastonia had, but our meals just didn't taste as good. The hushpuppies weren't as good and our broiled stuffed shrimp was overcooked, tough and the stuffing was horrible. My mother had catfish and some were undercooked and also not as good.We will continue being loyal to Gastonia even if it's further away. The food and service is just better there.

My friedoysters were greasy and the breading did not taste good. I went with a group in the mail was free so I couldn't complain but I won't go there and pay for their food this is not the first time they have disappointed me don't waste your money.
