The string bean was recommended to us by our realtor. While the waitress was nice and service was quick, we did not enjoy our food. I ordered the fish and chips and it was the worst I’ve ever had. The batter was very thick and the fish/batter were over cooked. Basically burnt. The fries looked like it came out the bottom of the bag because all I had was small hard pieces. The tartar sauce was bland. I didn’t eat most of it. My dad had the shrimp and grits and said the grits were bland but the shrimp was fine. He didn’t finish his food either. The best thing we had was the pimento cheese and crab dip appetizer. I wouldn’t go back because if you mess up on fish and fries then I don’t trust anything else.

Went and sat on the patio with a girlfriend. Service was top notch they had great recommendations on drinks. We got a few different dishes and spilt them all. Nothing but great things to say about the food. Great patio for girls night or for a date night!

The figgylicious has always been my fave. For many years now. Today while coming through Belmont and wanting to pick up lunch so I didn't have to make anything, I struggled with my choice of 3 places. String Bean, Pita Wheel or Sammy's. My old favorite won my heart and I called in my order. What I found when I got home was a little disappointing. The search party is still out looking for the prosciutto and the actual fig spread was more of a fig smear. Next time my choice will be easier and I say that with sadness.

Man… this place has taken a fall from the pedestal it once stood on. Used to be a staple among folks in the area, but that tide has turned. Went back last night after giving it some time, and the only thing reminiscent of the glory days is the wine list. The inspiration behind the food has disappeared, and the attention to detail / desire to create a unique guest experience has vanished. There is still hope as more competition opens up in the area, but it needs some work.

Stopped tonight to pick up some dinner and have a few beers. Maine lunch on tap! Ria our server was awesome! Very sweet, great conversation! Food was great, beers as well, picked up some Maine lunch to go. George the beer artisan is great as well. Highly recommend !

My first time here last night. Had the Bistro Burger. Meat was fresh, juicy, cooked as I ordered. Well seasoned and big enough for me to cut in half. Excellent burger. Hand cut fries were well seasoned and crispy. My daughter and I ate for $36, which was very reasonable for the quality and quantity. I will definitely be back.
