Anthony's La Piazza Downtown Benson

Pizza is always burnt, last slice I had there was cheese on 1/4 of the slice, sauce on 1/2 and 1/4 was just dry crust. Often charge more than the price in the menu too.

The food and service are completely amazing. It’s hard to find a good Italian food around. You can’t go wrong with the pasta and pizza at this place because it’s absolutely delicious. We are new to the area and glad we found this. We will definitely be regulars when we have a hankering for pizza and pasta. This place is highly recommended.

We just moved here and haven’t had a pizza night in a while. I saw they had grandma style pizza… if you’re used to a good grandma style, don’t come here. We got home and open the box to a round pizza, red sauce and like 6 melted pieces of mozzarella… we called back thinking they gave us the wrong pizza for them to tell us that this is their grandma pizza. This is not a grandma pizza at all. No parm and cheese isn’t supposed to go over the sauce. It really didn’t taste good either. For us to spend an extra $8 to upgrade to a grandma this is BAD!!!

BEWARE: We went to get take out of a total amount $162.03; I SIGNED the receipt with that amount on it. When I looked at my bank account the amount of $178 was charged. When I approached them about this they stated “it is the practice of NC to charge 10% a take out fee”. First off how can you have someone sign a receipt with one amount but charge them another. That is not proper or professional practice. Not only that but they also add a “packaging” fee as well. What sense does this make. This establishment is squeezing extra money out of their patrons without their permission.

So y’all, this atmosphere was terrible. We lived here for over 20 years and never ate here. Well, tonight I know Why. Had total of 6 people in our party. Only ones in restaurant. My husband ordered dozen chicken wings. Rest of us ordered pasta. We all got our food first. My husband didn’t get his wings. We were halfway done and waiter finally come out and said it would be another 7 mins on wings. He said man the table is almost done just bag them to go. While eating the workers were sweeping and mopping the floors with lemon Lysol. All while we’re eating. The worse smell ever in a small building while trying to eat. Then we got the bill. It was over 120.00 for 6 people. Me and a friend got spaghetti carbonara with tortillines but wasn’t told there was an up charge of 5.00 a plate. So they removed the 10.00 up charge due to us complaining but then they charged 5.20For Alfredo sauce when it was already an Alfredo dish. This was the most ridiculous thing ever. Worst experience ever but the food was good. If you eat here get it to go. Don’t waste your time eating in.

I love the Philly steak & cheese sub. It has always been hot & outstanding. I was so disappointed to see the temp. close sign.

Call before/if you go. Drove 35 min to benson. Arrived at 1230. Location was closed with a traffic cone in front of door. We walked around benson for an hour. Came back. Nobody ever opened despite location stating it was going to be open etc. Would of liked to try some of the food but. Guess not. Pretty lame.

We always have a good experience here! From the delicious food to the awesome waitresses! Would definitely recommend!

So glad he's reopened! Deluxe pizza, yum! Best crust.
