I told the lady at the counter that I wanted over easy eggs. My eggs were burnt when they served me.

Excellent food. The bagels are authentic NY style bagels in a wide variety of flavors. The whipped cream cheese is delicious. The chocolate croissants are to die for!

I stood at the register for almost 5 minutes while employees walked by and never acknowledged my existence. Finally an employee asked me if I had been helped. She was not very nice and I felt like I was bothering her. This used to be a great place to eat. New management needs to figure out the ins and outs of customer service. FYI, others feel the same way as me.

Let me just say this bagel was daaaaamn good. First of all service was super fast and considerate. I grabbed a warm Gatorade they had just stocked the fridge with and didn’t say anything about it being warm but they offered to give me a cup of ice just so l could enjoy it without me asking. The bagel was also firrrrreee. I got an everything bagel bacon egg and cheese plus cream cheese and was genuinely impressed with how good the bagel was and I can be picky! I will be driving the 30 minutes it takes to get me here again.

In my humble opinion, the bagels are different since Big Steve's closed. They aren't bad bagels by any means just different. The crust isn't as crisp, the inside is not as chewy and soft, and the overall ratio of toppings to bread is reduced. I got salt bagels and the salt had brushed off most of the bagels by the time I got home. The ambiance of this place has changed as well, it used to remind me of a mom-and-pop bagel place from back home in NY, now it's very sparce and utilitarian.

I've been to the place many times but now the staff seems not to know what to do when a customer walks in. The food is always good though, just don't expect to be waited on right away. Or make sure you let them know your waiting because they don't ask.

Poor breakfast sandwich no meat and spungi bread
This was my first time here and I just happened to stop by during my road trip and it was such a pleasant experience! Shea was so patient with me and helped to show me everything I could choose from, was very polite and kind to every other customer I witnessed and had great eye contact which shows his interest in the customer and their positive experience. I ordered an Asiago bagel with egg, cheese and pork roll and it was delicious. Everything was so fresh and perfectly prepared by the kitchen staff and they got my order made very quickly. This place really does serve a piece of New York but with less attitude and more kindness!

Not like it used to be. The new owners have changed everything. The cream cheese taste old and rotten. The bagels are just ok. I’ve tried them a few times after the ownership changed and I’ve been unimpressed each time.

Bringing up north bagels to the deep south. When you grow up in one area you get use to the cuisine of that area and you miss it when you move to another.
New York Bagels gives that taste of up north to us in JoCo North Carolina.
The bagels are made fresh and you can dress them up anyway you want. The variety of bagels is there too.
Great bagels made fresh.
When it gets busy I feel like they are a bit overwhelmed. What can they do...they are the only up north bagel place for miles!
I am anxious to see what the new owners do for decor.
The walls are pretty plain now...its bagels and a booth.
They also do Pepsi fountain...I'm a Coke guy. You can get a can of Coke though.
