Stopped in today with my dad, our amazing server Savannah hooked us up. Food was delicious, staff was friendly.
Daddy 'D' BBQ is the best in Wake County. Moist and full of flavor.
Best bbq, better than Smithfield.

Daddy D's BBQ: A Smoky Delight
5 Stars
I recently had the pleasure of trying Daddy D's BBQ in Benson, and I'm so glad I did! The pulled pork was incredibly tender and flavorful, with a perfect balance of smoke and spice. But what truly set them apart was their fantastic barbecue and the absolutely mouthwatering Red barbecue coleslaw. It's a must-try for anyone who loves Southern comfort food. The sides were equally delicious, especially the collard greens and mac and cheese. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and attentive. If you're looking for authentic North Carolina barbecue, Daddy D's is a must-try!

Had a hard time picking up my order even though I had to text confirmation the email confirmation and my drivers license.
The Brunswick stew taste like baked beans, overly salty green beans & collards, dry bland pulled pork (though with the eastern sauce or the mild sauce it is pretty good)
Macaroni & cheese is not good at all
My friends exact words were “trash”
Wings, chicken, and meatloaf was “ok” , nothing to brag about” according to best friend
Smoked Turkey to be determined

Daddy d’s is one of our favorite places to go on our road trips down I95. We have eaten here at least 5 times and the food and service are excellent! The burnt ends and peach cobbler is delicious! 5 stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I recently dined at daddy D's in benson and was thoroughly disappointed by the experience. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that the establishment was plagued by serious issues. The most disturbing aspect was witnessing the employees openly threatening each other. It created an incredibly uncomfortable atmosphere and was unprofessional to an extreme degree.
The staff seemed more focused on their interpersonal conflicts than on serving customers. Service was disorganized and slow, with several mix-ups in our orders. The overall environment was chaotic, with a palpable tension that made the dining experience unpleasant.
The food, while somewhat decent, did little to compensate for the negative atmosphere. Given the lack of professionalism and the evident discord among the staff, I cannot recommend Daddy D's bbq. It's clear that they need to address their internal issues before they can offer a satisfactory experience to their patrons.
