The banana pudding was amazing. The mashed potatoes tasted like instant and that was disappointing.

Nice southern home cooking!! Great sweet tea, too! The last visit was recently during the Meadow lights, so they were slammed, and the line was around the building. The food was great/fresh and they always have homemade desserts. The service great especially since they were so busy!! Thank you for making our holiday adventure for dinner and the lights so great!!

Fortunately we had reservations, the waiting line was long well before opening. Many people were standing out in the very chilly evening. If you love down home country cooking, this is your destination. I could tell who had been here before… they were dressed for the wait outdoors. I’m not much on Carolina barbecue but this was absolutely the best barbecue I’ve ever had.

Despite a lot of people waiting to dine in, we were seated rather quickly. Our server was very attentive & they kept the food replenished. A great variety of desserts & clean setting. A nice country meal to share with family/friends before heading over to view the Meadow Lights.

Have always loved eating at Meadow Village Restaurant. Food is closest to the meals I enjoyed as a child.

This restaurant, approximately 15 minutes off 40 EAST, has to be the best kept secret on all of NC Hwy 701. I happened there by accident but it affirms that truly God is guiding my footsteps. A first-timer to the restaurant, customers inside were more friendly and welcoming than perhaps the wait staff when offering bathroom location and seating options; but my goodness, the buffet will make one forget about customer service deficiencies. Incredible. Everything from fried fish, meat loaf, country style steak and gravy, fatback, greens, black eyes, corn, string beans, cornbread, cakes - approximately 8 homemade. When next I'm headed to the beach or work near Clinton/Benson, I will pre-trip this location bc it is worth the drive.
