The food is well worth the drive from north myrtle beach.! Bbq is always our go-to. The BBQ twice was super greasy but then we happened to start ordering while the younger guy (wears the bandana most times & looks real fit) cooked our bbq & it was amazing. The hushpuppies were super crunchy and the best that I've had in a while.
Service is lacking at times, but I never eat inside so it doesn't really bother me as long as the food is cooked good... which it is.
The collard sandwich are another good one!

I met Mr Terry dove and he invited me me to come and try his cooking.Boy was that a treat, I had the steak with onions and peppers.Awesome is the only word I can describe it with.

Ordered the collard sandwich to go and asked for hot sauce. I was disappointed in the small container my food was in for the price we paid. The cornbread was good. However, the collards theirself was not. I don't like all the juice in the small container and I'm not a fan of such big leaf collards. A word to the wise? Use the regular Styrofoam plates when serving this dish. Also, but then collard leaves up more. One last thing, no juice is required in the plate, drain then scoop onto the plate. Please when someone ask for hot sauce there's a reason. Your 2 packs simply didn't do. I already deeply miss the old Dove's especially little elderly woman at that window...She was the best!

I cannot explain in words how amazing their burgers are! I’m not from North Carolina and have been wanting to try some new food places. My husband and I drove from Lumberton and it was by far one of the best burgers we ever had! We both ordered the jalapeño burger and it was amazing! It did take a little while for the food to come out because it was freshly cooked with fresh meat, but it was worth the wait! The staff was great! We will definitely be going back!

went to doves today and absolutely LOVED it all - im a little obsessed with fries and the breaded ones are some of the best I've had! we got the porkchop & catfish plates.. you get lots of food for a great price! can't wait to try out more of their food!
