Our family has been going to Bistro Roca for 15 years, the same weekend before Thanksgiving. We love the atmosphere and hospitality. The food is excellent, we love this restaurant. One of our favorite places ever!! Selection is phenomenal.
Our food and service was excellent. I especially liked that we were never felt rushed. The drinks are so unique and tasty. The bar tenders have special recipe s that pop.
This is a great place to go when you are in blowing rock. The food is amazing and the service is great. We love this place,
Restaurant was very nice. Service excellent. Food was mediocre. The eggplant appetizer was fantastic. The rest of the meal so so. I had the trout. Fish was cooked well but the sauce was watery and flavorless. I'm was so impressed with the eggplant it was disappointing.
Tried the Trout this time... delicious! We went at 4:30 and basically had the place to ourselves.
Food was a 10/10, and the patio was very pretty for a romantic dinner! Plus it was heated, which was great for the winter weather!
Very nice dinner with friends. Food was great, ambiance wonderful etc. Waiter was ‘ok' not great nor horrible. Wonderful place though!
Great ambiance and service. Pizzas, burgers and salads are good but where they shine is the Roca Specialties, all of which are delicious.
What a gem. We've been visiting BR for 15 years and never tried this place. We've been missing out! Gourmet dining in BR for sure!
Outstanding Waitress was phenomenal. Attentive funny. Food and drinks delicious and worth the money. A little chilly in the restaurant only negative Very pleasant experience.

Food was quite cool when it got to our table. I got crab cakes, he got salmon. Don't understand why food wasn't hot!
We had an incredible dining experience at Bistro Roca from delicious cocktails in the bar while we waited for our table through to an amazing Gingerbread Flan for dessert. I highly recommend the Eggplant Frites as an appetizer. My partner had the salmon and I had the Black and Blue steak. Both were cooked perfectly and paired nicely with one of their moderately priced Cab Savs. On top of the wonderful food, we had outstanding service from Taylor. This was a birthday celebration and Bistro Roca made it extra special.
Our side dishes of Brussels spouts, grits, and potatoes were luke warm/cold and the prime brisket was mostly fat. The trout entree was okay. In compensation the manager discounted the prime brisket dinner 10% ($3.30)
The decor is warm, but rustic, and the ambience is terrific. The only thing better was the food itself. Truly, one of the best meals my husband and I have had at an incredibly reasonable price.
Excellent dinner! Our waitress was outstanding! The appetizers, salad and dinner all delicious! A great dining experience!
