We have consistently good food and service at Bistro Roca. The atmosphere is perfect for a restaurant in the mountains with a slightly rustic feel but dressy and quaint as well.
Always a staple restaurant every time we visit Blowing Rock. Guaranteed good food, great waitstaff, and superb atmosphere!
We found everything including the service to be top notch. The only negative was the noise level from an “energetic “ large group at an adjacent table, but that's not the restaurant's fault. Overall an excellent experience!
Great menu! Went here for dinner twice during a 5 day stay. Atmosphere and service are great. Highly recommend!
The service was excellent. The ambiance was great--no piped in music or tv screens. The octobus was served on a chickpea and aioli sauce that overpowered the mild octopus. The braised rabbit was dry but it was served in a good sauce with carrots.
Very nice birthday celebration with excellent food, attentive service, and such a nice atmosphere. Love Bistro Roca!
Always the best experience and food is outstanding ! We drive almost 2 hours regularly to go there!
A++ for both the food and the service. Our server, Jessica, was amazing. Helped us with our wine selection, and offered suggestion's for our dinner. The food exceeded our expectations, and met the experience our friends indicated we would get.
Great pizza and fried chicken salad. If you're in the area, it's a great place for casual dining.
As always, the food and experience at Bistro Roca was top notch. I will say that my meal - ribeye pork chop with grits, baby carrots and pickled strawberries - was amazing! Best meal Ive had in a really long time.

I will be back!! Wow, the charm of this very lovely restaurant inside you have to see. The food was fantastic! We had some lovely homemade bread and bacon jam yummy! Then shared a Cesar salad . Good balance of flavors . Then my dinner was the amazing pork ribeye with a chimichurri sauce and stone grits. My husband had the lobster Mac and cheese which was creamy with loads of flavor and perfectly cooked lobster! Well done Chef!
Great bistro in Blowing Rock...mountain feels, great cocktails, nice menu with a variety for everyone from our teens to grandparents.
I have very mixed feelings. Restaurant is very casual and somewhat noisy. I had fungi pizza very large for 1. I had 1 piece , gave a piece away and took two pieces home. The crust was soggy wet. I would have liked more mushrooms and fewer radishes and carrots.. My husband had the salmon with cucumber salad and fingerling potatoes . He said it was good. My friends split the trout which ended up being 1 very small piece of trout, a few carrots slices and some polenta each. I'm not sure that trout was even regulation size much less the carrot slices Some things like pizzas, burgers salads are reasonably priced. I thought the entrees like the trout and the salmon were overpriced. On a positive note, the pommes frites were delicious. The service was also excellent
Had an amazing experience here! The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. Would come back!
This bistro is our go-to place for Sunday brunch. Great food, excellent service, friendly staff. Don't get me wrong, so much more than a brunch bistro, every meal has been wonderful....lunch and more.
